It's no longer part of who I am, KT. It is not an option and I don't want it to become an option again.
And it isn't always so easy - particularly when I regress into thinking that says blotting stuff out would be a good option. I don't miss the "enjoyment" part of AL anymore, though. I.e. the idea of a glass of wine with dinner or in a social setting. And for that I'm very grateful.I'll do whatever it takes

Yeh I know what you mean, I do wonder how much of that is learned behavior.
I think the part that always bugs the hell out of me is when someone who is 20 years sober can still get urge out of the blue and if acting on it will very quickly find themselves back as bad as ever. Depressing or what, I guess thats why we live in the moment when it comes to AL.
TG I never smoked, hahaha I looked after myself except when it came to the obvious.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Hi all. :wavin:
I just stepped outside for the first time since 8 a.m. Weather channel says it's 34C in
Athens right now. I'd bet it's more like 38C outside the store. :toohot: Driving home in traffic will be a real treat. Even the AC in the car can't help with the burning sun shining though the windows:upset:
KTAB - hope you're feeling better soon....:huggyFor every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Hi ladies, well now its a pleasant 22.5 in the house I see. I have the front door and windows wide open. Overcast, a little windy and looks like rain on the way. Think I will butch up and have lunch outside, the fresh air will do me good.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?
