    first day again

Last night I walked down to the store to buy my usual bottle and just before I entered I thought about; how financially poor I was; how much I beg, borrow, and steal to exist (and fuel my drink problem); how it's just a matter of time before jaundice and cirrosis.

I turned around and went home. I hope this feeling will stay with me because I am living day to day, month to month, financially and spiritually.

Hi Medic it good to see you back. It is crazy how much we spend on drink just to poison ourselves.

Like Mario said, just hoping to quit drinking, won't work. In the past I hoped to quit and that failed. You got to want to quit and have a plan. Reread the https://www.mywayout.org/community/f1...box-27556.html and set up a plan. You have a support group here. But you got to want to quit and not just hope to quit.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
