          Shivered, it's blooming freezing here.

Wrote the Boston Babe's birthday cards, finished me ?1500 prize crossword, paid some bills, had a nap, filled in me meal planner and entertained a plumber in the kitchen.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

When is the babies' birthday? Can they really be a year old already?

I gather you've been eating very little today in anticipation of weigh-in tonight...

We had grilled sardines with a potato salad with red bell pepper, scallion, with EVOO, red-wine vinegar and a few dashes of cayenne pepper to spice it up. Plus a mixed greens salad - romaine lettuce, arugula, spring onions, dill, EEVO and balsamic vinegar with chunks of feta and croutons. And grilled rustic bread..... Dessert was some lovely big cherries I got at the market yesterday and a small piece of dark choccie....

And sorry your weather is so shite, Jackie. I'd send some :sun: your way if I could....

The Boston Babe's will be a year old on 8th August which would have been my Dad's 90th birthday.

The plumber could sort the problem but for the sake of another ?20 we're getting a whole new unit and taps.

Stirls I'm surprised you can't hear me stomach rumbling from here.

How sweet that they were born on your Dad's birthday. My first cousin's twin grandkiddies - a boy and a girl - were born on my birthday. They were preemies and didn't go home until almost 3 months later. Their father posted their progress on Vimeo so we could check up on how they were doing. They were so very tiny and have grown into the most beautiful almost-three year olds you can imagine. I was so relieved that they made it. I don't think I would have celebrated my birthday again if they hadn't.

That sounds like a good deal to me. Um, er, if he's a plumber then how come he couldn't fix the plug hole? That's what plumbers do FFS. I bet Zenners could have done it with her eyes closed.

Ah well I don't want to bamboozle you here with technical talk, Stirls.

But basically the thingy whatsit what lets the water drain attached to the fingle fangle which is then attached to that cream bit with a large dangle doo da was not very nice at all and perished.

So along with putting a new tap running washering type thingy in on the taps which would finally give up the ghost soon it's better to get the whole lot done now, rather than forking out another great wadge of cash this time next year.
