Evening all,
What a beautiful day you've described Reggie. You deserve it bro, everyday.
Well, as some of you might know already, a couple of us blokes have been approached to be ambassadors for David Jones/Myer. The offer sure came out of the blue, i can tell you. The contracts arrived today, but i dunno, i'm just not sure. One photo shoot, they want Reg to stand around some country shack, in country road checkered shirt wearing a casual Reefer jacket, chook under one arm, and 3 spurtles under the other whilst gazing at a pic of the holy trinity. Then they want me to model the new Fletcher Jones re-issue pant, the latest Florsheim tenant creek themed desert boot, whilst enjoying ice cream and tim tams from the DJ deli reading 'Mahatma Ghandi, a biography by B.R. Nanda'. I dunno, somethings not quite right. How much you reckon we're worth? (We sign contracts tuesday.)
Hope everyone's having a safe, sober, peaceful and magical weekend. Take it easy.

Maybe the wooden thing my mother used to use in her old wringer washing machine was a type of spurtle? Handmade by g-grandfather to poke the clothes down into the swishing water. Hm-m. Humans have been using sticks for eons; the Scots gave theirs a name. We called it "that stick."
Love you guys. Hope you're having sweet dreams right now.

I miss chatting with you a lot !!! ...great to hear about the album..are you home producing it???? ..what sort of stuff are you using recording wise????..very interested ..just getting back me self ..set up my studio ( daddys room)..cant find a bloody Microphone that gets a doubles tone just right any tipps? sorry for all the questions..hope you are well
Reg
Yep, i'm producing the album at home. I have a selection of rec. gear from reel to reel to hard disk to PC. At the mo so far, i'm recording using Ableton live 8 software. Pretty good sound, and easy to use after 100 hours of hair pulling head fuck with configure this, buffer that 18 mths ago. Re mic's, i hear the Aussie 'Rodes NT' condenser mics are very good, with the cheapest starting at around 300 bucks, which is an award winning mic. I've been using an AKG C 3000 condenser mic for the last 10 years. 600 bucks back then, and very good sound, as in very true, and no fuss. I've used it on double basso and it sounds great, as in very true reproduction. Audio technica aren't bad either, but use yer ears when testing a few against the others. Another cheaper but good quality condenser mic range around are from Rupert Neve called 'SE' something or other. Billy hydes flemington, or Mannys music in fitzroy have yer working man mic selection, with more specialist shops for your more specialist selection.
Break a string and chooka's all. G'night.
G'day Ju juberoo.
