      Nope.
Clag = red and white container, transparent glue. PP = pink packaging opaque white glue.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

        Here you go:

Perkins Paste - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And obviously they decided to make a pink paste down the track coz I was a bloody trendsetter...and guess what? You could EAT it and not die...how good is that...

On the texta dying stuff - Saphs, smash a texta, get out its innards - the fluffy fibre contained in the plastic tubey thing and then - for your purposes leave it in water - tada - instant dye!!!

This one is unashamedly specific to Australia (and even more specifically the State of New South Wales).

Anybody who went to school in NSW of a certain age will likely remember Perkins Paste and the familiar pink plastic jar that it came in.

The label claims that it: "sticks quickly," "cannot spill," and is "non toxic" (all admirable features for a glue). Nothing on there about taste. Even so, every class in every school had a kid (or kids) who scored big points by being able to eat significant quantities of the sticky white almondy substance.

This T Shirt was initially developed in collaboration with Perkin's Products as a promotion for our Stationery Department (where we dutifully sold the actual stuff). The image captured the imagination of our Customers, and soon took on a life all its own.

Sadly, Perkins Paste appears to have vanished from the marketplace. A recent search has proved fruitless. Extinction is a real possibilty. But fear not; its pink and sticky spirt lives on via this homage.

The Perkins Paste I had when I was a kid was in a white glass jar. Predated the pink jar by a decade. And Clag by two.

Oh, and Happy, They hadn't invented textas when I was in kindy. Or biros either. I used to be an inkwell girl in primary school!

                  Well, when I
was a kid, we had to boil all our spare cow and horse hooves for hours before we could extract some sort of glue with which to carry out our scrap-booking and decoupage and paper tolle craft activities ...

Rags my dear, Saph was on the money when she said get the PT. Something about sticking with it and having someone else push you really helps in the short and long term. It's a positive way to get out the negative energy. I do it even when I don't want to, and always am grateful for it afterwards.

Evening, MrG ... as I'm paying compliments today, allow me to say ... you have great arms. Are they yours or are they Photoshop-enhanced? Either way, good job! Just a thought, Undies, - I wonder if we've all got a dose of the SADs and can't wait for the clocks to be turned forward? Going hori because I keep waking at 4am and forcing myself to stay in bed until 5 - so now at 8pm I'm a cot case. Nighters, lovely people.

Not to mention, if you mix juiced avocado and olive oil and apply it to yer grey hair, it disappears. No, not your hair, but the grey. The American indigenous folks used to do it which promoted a shiny black lustrous lusty mop. For Straya, add a very small dollop of juiced vegemite for that unmistakable brunette sheen.
