Rags, The House with the wine cellar is lovely only because there is a MASSIVE skylight in the master bedroom. Both houses are to big and would seem lonely me thinks. But I often look at houses around those hills for the views. Some of them actually have acreage and are reasonably priced. Not in Tallia though.

Geez, you sheila's sure are tooled up with some dangerous looking spurtles there. Them Scottish lassies back in the day weren't silly. 'Come near me boofhead and i'll clobber ya, but first, would ye like some fuckin porridge?!'

Well, it sure is a big bad world out there. Just found out today that this weekend just passed at work, saturday, one woman OD'd, and taken to hospital (she's ok), and on sunday, a fellow (client) visiting home and family topped himself at home. I was just with him that morning. Jesus. This bloke and i had been spending a bit of time together in recent weeks. He'd spoken of suicide in the weeks before, but said he was okay. The guy told me he was very depressed, and i could see it. It's horrible when you're in that place where you just can't see a way up and out. It was still a surprise. He leaves behind a recent ex partner and a 6 year old boy. He'd just started new Anti depressant meds 2 weeks ago, but he said they hadn't really kicked in, and he didn't feel any better. The bloke had given up the grog mostly in the last couple of years, and the dope/smoke 4 months ago.
Sorry everyone for unloading this on you. I'm not going to go on about it, but geez, that's depression.

So see a doctor right away if you're feeling blue every day, or for more than 2 weeks, or often, or if you think something's not quite right with you, and get some treatment options. Educate yourself. And exercise.

Please don't let this post spoil your night. It's rough i know. These things just happen in this thing called life.

Am having the rest of the week orf to chill. Have a good one folk's.

Mr G this is the one place we can truly unload.
What a shity mess suicide leaves behind. I can see how depression messes our heads to the extent we are not ourselves and logic becomes very twisted. You are so right the worse thing one can do is nothing.
How awful for that young boy, that probably never leaves.

Mr G - what a wonderful specimen of human being you are. How is your resilience at the moment? Is the "rest of the week off" a scheduled thing or in response to today? Is there anything we can do to help you through this? :l

Once they can eat side by side I think you have it nailed. We have new cats eating seperately for a bit then gradually have them eating together ( in the same place, if not always at the same time to start with).

There was a phrase when I was little about how the family that eats together (and prays together :H) stays together. It definitely works for cats (and I'm only referring to eating, not praying!)

                          Hiya Missy and KT,

Geez, thanks for your responses, and thankyou for your kind words Missy. I know you have been touched by suicide KT. Missy, i'm fine, but thought it best to take the rest of the week off. Work offered de-briefing which i'll do at some stage, and i know sooner is better than later, but the folk's i'm concerned about of course are his son, sister's, son's mum etc.... I dunno. The bloke seemed to have that little bit left in him to carry on. I think a family interaction tipped him over the edge, as there are custody issues with the son, but no-one's to blame. I just think if he could've held on for a few more weeks maybe he could've got better..

Missy, just knowing you guy's are out there, and just by listening to me now, is fantastic, and will be enough thanks. All good here, just reflecting as you do. :l :h

MR G, WHAT A WEEK SIR. Thank you for sharing. You are right about getting help, and getting exercise.

I will be in Sydney tomorrow for work. Reg gave me some good flying advice. So I won't get to catch up with you all til Thursday night seeing as tomorrow will be 16 hours of work related stuff.

I just want you all to know that you all mean the world to me. You too Ktabbers!
