Goodness me, gone for a couple of days and all hell breaks loose. I love this thread.
Sunni, I'm still working on resizing and photobucket. I dont know how to get the pics from photobucket to MWO...anyone able to help out?
Sorry I've been AWOL a couple of days, but Mother was rushed to the ER on Sunday with severe breathing difficulties. Brooke managed to convince her to get in the car and go when she wouldn't take an ambulance because she didn't 'want to be a bother.' By the time I got there she was in a pretty bad way, her whole body heaving with the effort to get enough air. She'd been on oxygen for a couple of hours and they said she was doing much better. So glad I didn't see her before! Anyway, two days later and she's still in hospital, out of CCU though. Her lungs are in bad shape, exaserbated by stress, which puts stress on her body, which puts stress on her heart.
The BCG was stressful, along with all the blood loss and nausea, along with having her car break down and have to be towed last week, all of which tipped her over the edge. Naturally, I'm thinking congestive heart disease. The lung specialist they called in says emphysema can be added to the list of problems, but she's still waiting for a full diagnosis.
It's been a pretty hectic couple of days, as you can imagine. I'm kinda drained, but bearing up well. No thoughts of drinking...thank you Baclofen.
So, I'll try to pop in every day but if I can't, please be patient with me.
Looking forward to Photobucket suggestions so I can finally get some Sobriety Wall pics posted.

Vicky, both of my parents suffer(ed) arthritis and I have it in my hands as well. I wear thermoskin pressure gloves when I have a flare up and they really help with swelling and pain. I wouldn't be without them and believe prevention is better than a cure. Diet plays such a vital role as well. Please, try the gloves (the thermo ones are best as they keep your hands warm as well, though that isn't much a problem for you at the moment.

Gosh Sun, your day sounds like some of mine! Makes for good sleep though. Didnt go t work yest and got to ride my bike and get caught up on things needed doing. Not so darn hot this morn, I'm gonna ride bike before I go to work. T you might have to go to work outside your field . The awning places are usually pretty busy in summer down there anything to get ya through with a few bucks...I gotta go bComment

Well, RC, I woke a couple of times in the night and could tell I had had a HARD day but feel fine this morning. going to be another long one though - tree man is coming and I am out there along with him!!
Bird - good for you getting to ride your bike yesterday - yes, it seems to be a tad cooler here right now - hopefully it stays that way!
So where is our esteemed OLDER lady this morning? Sleeping in getting her rest probably.......
