        Fen--He is married to Kimberly Williams who was the bride in the Father of the Bride movie with Steve Martin-- has a couple of sons too-- though that does not mean he is not gay of course! Good morning to all-- the headache has come back with a vengenace-- it has to be some woman hormone thing but it is seriously curtailing my activities. This is a time when I wish I had just one knock out pain killer-- so I could break the headache cycle. Oh well---time for carpool-- hope you all have a great day!

                I agree Fen-- when I first was getting migraines I actually referred to them as a migraine event because they would stick around for nearly a week or I would get 2 in a row. It is my fault for letting it go too long-- if you don't stop it when it first shows up it can linger forever. I was going to go to an urgent care about it so I could walk in but I am sure they are leery of giving any strong pain killers with all the drug seekers around and I do not want to waste the day in the ER. I am still doing stuff just slower and less comfortable than I would like to

                  Hello everyone.
                  So sorry that you still have that headache ATL. :h

                  Well - my Doctor finally called me and she won't prescribe Naltrexone. She will watch me and give me liver function tests if I end up getting it somewhere else. But, she won't prescribe it. She has never heard about it, etc. So, she is not comfortable prescribing it. I'm pretty down. Going to make a couple of phone calls today and then I will probably just buy it thru River Pharmacy. Just feeling down today.

                  Has anyone heard from Grateful again? I can't stop thinking about her. All those poor people that are going thru this right now back there.

                    Good morning, family! Nora, I got an email from Grateful. She is not doing good and really needs all our prayers! This is her last week at her job as it is going under. Her son, who lived in the basement got really upset about all his stuff flooding and is causing her alot of stress. She got so sick from all the stress yesterday, she had to lie down at work and her boss was very concerned about her. She's not doing good at all and I am really concerned about her! PLEASE pray for her!
                    ALT, I really think you should see a doctor about yor headaches, maybe a different one who will help you and give you something for it! Bless your heart! Nora, sweetheart, I am so sorry you are struggling. I hope you feel better. Paul is still down, but we are going to attempt to go to Jackson tomorrow so I can get my stitches taken out and a few other things I need to take care of, like getting a bettery for my phone! If he can drive me to my daughters, she will run me around. It really sucks not being able to drive! Well, last night in the middle of the night, I got up to go to the bathroom and fell over Chloe's stairs and peeled a layer of skin off all the way down my sheen! What more can happen to me? Oh, well, I've got lots to do today. I love you all and hope you all have a good day. Love, Vicki

                        YEEEEOOWWWWCCHH, SOS! You and I are sisters from different mothers! :H
                        Poor Grateful. She already has the worries, and her family certainly doesn't help her out a bit. So wish I was close enough to go help her, but her menfolk would probably throw me out for expressing my feelings. Told her I'm not letting her go home once I get her here. Maybe then they'll appreciate her.
                        ATL, get some help for those headaches, girl. As I told you, daughter has had migraines since she was 5. I used to sit by her bed and do pressure massages on her hand (pinch and rub the meaty part between thumb and hand, other fingers), and a mental visualization. She never felt better till she threw up. I think the med that's helped her the most is Imitrex, taking as soon as it starts. She had an MRI that shows she has a (praying) harmless Arachnid tumor over her brain, and as a mom I keep worrying about it.
                        Nora, did you reply to my question about your family's illnesses and miss it? I know you've got a lot of stress too. Next time you talk to your doc, research and print out info on Nal. I did that with my doc and Topomax, and he (he's hard to get to listen but Hubs and I MAKE him! :H) and he is sold on it now.
                        Just got back from dentist. She's referring me to a 'specialist' (read: EXPENSIVE!) because I have such a difficult bite and mouth. Why the hell didn't she do that a year ago? I love her, but DANG!
                        I don't mind grocery shopping, but the lugging them into then out of the car is a b-witch. Now have to put them all up, and do the chores I didn't get to today. Fun!

                            Ruby, thanks for asking about my family. My Aunt that had the lung cancer surgery, then had brain cancer surgery. She has been in the hospital with an infection in the brain. Treating it with IV antibiotics. It looks like they are going to let her go home and a nurse will come out to give her the IV's. Not sure how long she has now but she will be home with my Uncle. It will probably be a few months but they are not going to pursue chemo or anything else. Just take care of pain, etc. My Uncle already has a caretaker that takes care of him since his stroke. 24 hour care. So, I imagine that he will be able to take care of both of them. The main caretaker is a blessing. He has grown very close to them.
                            My Father in law is doing pretty well. After his fall about a month ago, we are really worried about him being home alone. However, we live so far away, there is not much we can do. Scott will be going up there in a couple of weeks to stay with him while his sister is on vacation. Scott can't drive but at least he'll be there if his Dad should need something.
                            Casey has moved out & is doing really well. Started back for his final college semester yesterday. He has grown up a lot in this past year.

                              Nora, sometimes all we can do, and the best thing, is to make our elderly loved ones comfortable, and feel loved. Prolonging their pain is some selfish of us. I'm so happy about Casey. Being on his own, he's learning only his momma would take care of him so he has to do it himself.
                              Sunni, you are our sunshine here. I completely understand how you feel; Hubs says I'm an emotion sponge, worrying about everyone but myself. Try not to get too down, everyone needs our positivity too.
