Oh bother, I tried to multiquote a few posts from the last few pages and for some reason it didn't work, so I'm just going to have to rely on my 'memory,' such as it is.

First, ATL and Bird: Please read Harriet Lerner's book "The Dance of Anger." It helped me learn to deal with my (formerly) judgemental, critical mother at a time when I was ready to throw in the towel and walk away from her negativity. By applying the principles into my interactions with her it completely changed the dynamics of our relationship. We're now in a position of mutual respect and we can disagree without being disagreeable. I promise you, if you do the same with your difficult family members, it will make a huge difference in your dealings with one another. Vicki, you could benefit, too.

Ruby, you mentioned I-Phone vs BlackBerry. I gather you vote in favour of the I-Phone. I have a BB I love but am seriously considering the I-Phone for my next phone, and would really appreciate your input. Sorry to hear about your dental issues, by the way. I never had to pay for having my bridge re-cemented, which happened any number of times as I have a bite like a mule and brusk enough to wake the dead (or so I've been told). I'm having my implant done on Friday. Very excited about it.

I haven't had time to watch the videos and listen to the songs you all posted, but I will try to do so. I'll be glad if/when things slow down a bit.

ATL (you get two mentions today), I used to use medication called 'Ergodryl" for my migraines. I took it as soon as I felt one coming on (numb or tingling left side of my face, sensitive to smells, spots in vision) and it usually managed to head it off at the pass. I could be laid out for 3 to 5 days with a bad one, and usually had a three week break between episodes. Very grateful for accupunture working in my case.

Nora, don't be silly about the cost of sending a few little packs of Naltrexone by post. I get my scripts filled for $5.60 on the Disability Pension and postage is minimal when the weight is taken into account. I'm picking up the first lot tomorrow so please let me know where to send them and they'll be on their way to you in no time. I gave James my last lot and I don't think he';s taken any of them, so I can send off a couple of months' supply on Thursday.

Fen, I'm looking forward to more Tick Hollow pics, also. Glad you found your camera. I've had a few things returned recently by mischievous gremlins who removed them months ago. One was a bag of very precious jewelry with family/sentimental value, which I had given up as lost forever. If only they would return my solid gold medic alert bracelet I bought with a week's holiday pay money nine years ago. However, I suspect that maybe that wasn't the gremlins at all, but me thinking I was terribly clever and hiding it in a 'safe place' about fourteen months ago when I took it off during a binge. For all I know, I might have hidden it at the bottom of the waste bucket thinking the 'burgulars' wouldn't look there, and then throwing it out because I'd forgotten about it. Maybe I'll find it one day, but I think that one has gone forever.

            Love and hugs to everyone.

Good Morning everyone - I laughed at the chat from last night!! Sorry I missed it.

Mish - I 'lost' my engagement ring once because I took it off and put it in a 'safe' place - found it about three years later, in a little pair of china wellington boots that I use as a pen holder by the computer!! So your medic alert bracelet might still turn up - don't lose hope !

I am feeling lots better this morning - had a really good nights sleep - a solid 8 1/2 hours and feel just like I should feel!! Have no idea what happened to me yesterday. But it is good to feel like me again. Getting ready for work right now. Everyone have a wonderful day - hugs to all,

              love, Sun XX

Mish, once I found my car keys in the vegetable crisper and a block of expensive cheese sitting up in the pantry...I blamed it on menopause, though! :H

Oh, I SEE! You all choose to get lively when I'm away! :H
Fen, the gay rumors swirl around lots of the the country stars (not my hometown boy Alan Jackson, tho!). After wildly successful (I don't like him) Kenny Chesney's minute long marriage to Renee Zellweger, his just got worse. My jury's still out on him. And despite having gorgeous women hanging on him all the time, NASCAR star Jeff Gordon can't shake the rumors either. Just another symptom of our preoccupation with sex, huh? A talent is a talent is a talent.
ATL, I don't know what your relationship is with your GYN, but they are really the ones who should be helping you with this, it seems. We'll talk, OK?
Nora, you're sounding better, and thanks for the update on your family. As far as the procedure for your hubby, I'd google it to learn as much as I could about it, so you'll know the right questions to ask.
Mishy, sweet Mishy! You're proof to me that sisters can be separated by oceans and hemispheres. You are so grounded, so honest. I just love it! (and you) And I liked my BB, but had some problems with it being such small buttons and screen. I LOVE my I-phone (Hubs got his yest and loves it already) because it's so much simpler to navigate and see.
Rog, secretly crossing my fingers, no jinx. Things have got to get better, right? But also consider planning for the future, the what-ifs. We don't like to do it, but we're all getting to the point we can't live life on the fly.
Sunni, glad to see the sun peeking out again. Everything seems a little brighter, huh?
Where's RC, Swannie, Melissa, Hill, (Tony makes his sporadic and ALWAYS hilarious appearances), and so many more my still waking mind can't recall? Everyone is welcome here, don't let our familiarity with each other scare you away.
Yes, this dental work is SHITE! I could have bought a continent now for what I've spent. No need really for me to go rack up another bill today for recementing, Poligrip would probably work as well. Will call the specialist today and get a recommendation. The worst is this is a HUGE holiday weekend here, and I'll have to go through it mute or writing notes. Can't volunteer like i usually do.
We've had a house for rent aabout 2 months. Thought it was rented, tho I had some misgivings, then they backed out. Got a call Monday from a recently divorced woman, asking to see it. I've since found she walked away from a long marriage with nothing, to get out, and is literally starting over. Good, solid work history, friends and family, so I called her yest to offer it to her and she broke down in tears at work when I agreed to stage her initial payments for getting in, told me God had told her when she saw the place 'this was for her'. Said we were the first 'real light' she'd had through this mess. I'm not ringing my bell here, just what she said made me think maybe what we do and go through has some meaning. I'll let you know how it works out.
Everyone's hungry here, so time to start feedings. I'm still keeping those we care about who are in such pain in my prayers, and I'm trying to think about myself a bit more too. Not being so caught up in my weight loss and pride, considering more what others needs are.

                          Good morning y'all!
I haven't been on in a couple days, busy with homework and preparation for my job interview today. I am struggling with my chemistry class, and really, really nervous about this interview...I NEED THIS JOB! But I am really trying to remain positive.
Also, today is day 40 AF.
I was thinking about what would happen, how I would feel if I had a drink yesterday (not having any cravings, just thinking about it.) And I really felt sick about the whole thing. I don't even think getting a buzz would feel good anymore. It would feel like I was not in control of myself, and I don't want to be there. So, I think I have made some real progress. I just don't want it anymore. I don't know how or when that happened...but I am really glad it did. It isn't worth the grief that it has caused me. Life has so much more to offer me, a sober me. The days are challenging, but in a different way. Instead of trying to work through a hangover, and hide feeling like crap, I am present in each moment. Feeling clear, and able to make good decisions.
                          What a difference!
Hope you all have a great day! See you on chat soon!

Good morning, family! Paul is doing better today, so he is going to drive me to Jackson and my daughter is going to take me to get my stitches out. We will be home tomorrow night. I love you all so much and hope everyone has a GREAT day! Love, Vicki
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

Abi, I WILL tell you, after a while of excessive drinking, there is no more buzz. There's just drunk. You ARE experiencing life right now, good and bad, as it's supposed to be lived. Good luck Hon!
