Hey Geekteeth, sorry to hear you're not well. Stay strong. And think positive; the rest of the week 'will' be better. Easier said than done. Have you ever heard of the book 'Power of the subconcious mind' by Dr Joseph Murphy. I was in despair a couple of years ago and couldn't see a way out. This book was the start of all the changes for the better that are coming into my life - a work in progress! Hope tomorrow looks brighter for you....:l

Hi, just thought I would check in. I have not been on here as I was ommitted to a mental hospital(dont know the proper term for the place. I was mugged at kniofe point for my phone and beaten up pretty badly. this led me to drink and then take 40 amitriptyline pills. I have only gotten out today. Just thought I would let you all know. Ben?I thought I'd begin by reading a sonnet by Shakespeare, but then I thought, why should I? He never reads any of mine.?

Hi Ben, so so sorry to hear about you being attacked. And also about what happened afterwards. It is up to you not to let this beat you. As with everything in life there is always a lesson to be learned from any experience we go through, whether we choose it or not.
Did your stay in the hospital benefit you in any way? How do you feel about the attack now? I know you feel bad about the pills and I guess that wouldn't have happened if alcohol hadn't been involved. But you know what, that was before - you can't change the past, but you have today and the future in your hands.
I read another great book 2 weeks ago, Kick the Drink easily by Jason Vale. There is a lot of talk about it on the boards. Check out THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE thread. It is an amazing read; definitely changed my way of thinking.
Anyways, I'm really glad you're back. Keep posting and letting us know how things are going. What about the girl? Any word? Me being nosy!!!!
Take care of yourself......:l:l:l:l:lIT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN

Hey Daisy, thanks for writting.
I did benefit from my hospital stay...was a huge eye opener. it made me realise that if I was to carry on with my lifestlye then there is where I would end up. Also having my mum come and visit and see her face so upset killed me. not a nice place. I will defo check out the book you that you have reccomended.
regarding the "girl", I explained to her that it would not be fair on her right now to have a relationship, I explained that I needed to foucus on me right now and get my shit together, and she understood and said she will always be there.?I thought I'd begin by reading a sonnet by Shakespeare, but then I thought, why should I? He never reads any of mine.?
