    Not everyone skis. There is good mountain climbing too.

    A chalet at the resort. Lots of snow, that's for sure. Working later today so I might post another picture or two later. Terry Goldstein = See y'all.

          And beautiful sunsets.

            Summer sports include mountain bike trails.

            And kayaking.

            A near-by river is ideal for fishing.

            There is even a small waterfall nearby. Very cold for swimming, tho'.

            Then back home for a family BBQ.

                        Ditto to what Big-bum said. Isn't he there YET!!! What the heck kind of postal system do you have there? I'll have to agree with Froglet - he must be going by freight train. Or by a slow boat to China...

                          Hes not here yet.
                          You can see from the pictures that there are mountainous regions in our country. The highest mountains and the most popular ski resorts are in other provinces and they are popular for winter sports, both by locals and tourists. However, more travelers pass through our province than all the others combined. They are mostly summer tourists who come here for the water sports - swimming, sailing, water-skiing and wind-surfing ? and for sightseeing.


                          This is also an important agricultural area with many greenhouses as well as the field crops and some of the best wines in the country are produced in this area.

                          Every year there is a famous car rally held just outside the capital city of our province that is part of a world-wide rally. Each season is usually made up of 13 rallies that take place on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice.

                            MH has given us a lot, but it doesn't make a lot of sense

                            Car Rally... The Canadian Rally Championship has a race in Merritt, BC. However, Merritt is not exactly just outside Victoria.. it's about 355km away. And this isn't a world wide race, either. The WRC does not stop in Canada. Hmmm.

                            Wine... The Niagara Peninsula and the Okanagan Valley are best known wine regions in Canada. Ok that.

                            The VERY highest mountains in Canada are found in the Yukon. Which is not a province, but a territory, btw. And BC not having the most popular ski resorts? Like Whistler/Blackcomb? Hmmm. That don't jive.

                            As for water sports, yeah BC fits. Most travelers pass through? Not sure but it COULD be right. Hmmm.

                            I wonder if we have to divert our attention to Ontario? It is mountainous, although nothing like the western provinces, it does have some ski resorts (heck, so does Quebec!), there are water sports, wine, and the travelers passing through makes more sense, too. Hmmm.

                                Are you close to Shuswap? I know someone who is returning there next month. It sounds very much like what you're describing. Dunno 'bout the rally. We have the Tall Pines Rally in this little town sometime in November, I think.
