    MWO World Tour Part II-Piglet!

All those beautiful pictures have me wanting start saving up to go for a holiday... Britain is such a beautiful country packed into such a small space. Any chance you can take some pics round Abingdon? My SIL lived there.
I bet its changed since I was there.

Reccie had a bit of a rummage and found my French tricolore scarf that missy so kindly knitted for me. Then he took me to the nearby village of Bladon this evening to visit St Martin's Parish Church.

St Martin's is where Sir Winston Churchill and other members of the Spencer-Churchill family are buried in the family burial area. Churchill's wife, Lady Clementine, is buried with him.

The family burial plot was refurbished in 1998 at an alleged cost of more than ?350k. Apparently the refurbishment didn't meet with universal approval and Churchill's grave is already looking somewhat weathered.

Anyway, this is a pic of meeeeee in front of Winnie's grave!

This is the family burial plot:

The hedged grave behind Churchill's belongs to his mother, Jennie. The cross to the left is where Churchill's father, Lord Randolph Spencer-Churchill is buried.

Reccie says that if I behave myself and he's sober, he'll take me on another trip to Oxford tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath.

That looks like a lovely graveyard, although I have to agree that the "refurbishment" seems rather unsympathetic. Piglet looks well - nicely bundled up in his scarf! Well done, Reccie, and I hope you two get out and about again very soon. :l

That is a very well maintained burial area...

As usual... excellent pics Mr Bear! xxx

Rather than me trying to explain and making things even more complicated than they already are...have a read of this:

Reccie has been having a few problems lately, but he finally managed to get his act together and take me on another trip to Oxford. Our first port of call was the university's Botanic Garden. It claims to be the most compact, yet diverse collection of plants in the world. It was founded in 1621. This is the entrance:
