I'm only now beginning to realise how much there is to see and do in and around Oxford and I've been living here for two or three decades. So far, piglet and I have barely scratched the surface. More outings to come, as and when I can manage them.

Every year thousands of people gather on and around the bridge on May Day to hear the Magdalen College choristers singing Hymnus Eucharisticus at 6am. It has long been a tradition for May Day revellers to jump off the bridge into the River Cherwell below. The river is not very deep and there have been some horrific injuries as a result, including broken limbs and paralysis.
Lovely pictures, Reccie. That is just dumb tho' jumping off a bridge into a shallow river. Just saying.........
This is the college, looking towards the bridge.

I think Piglet looks very casual indeed.

I am truly enjoying the many shades of green in your pictures. And it looks like you had a great day weather-wise. That sky is every bit as blue as it could get...
Reccie - do you find yourself talking to Piglet? Cause I did. Nattered on to both Tigger and Piglet and Miss K, like they were going to answer me back. But then I talk to Freddie all the time as well and he never answers me....For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

And, lastly, we viewed a pretty flower border next to the New Building Lawns:
Yet another lovely picture - I have a great weakness for flower borders. I had one all around our house in Canada and I have to admit that it is one of the things that I still miss after all the years here.

I so enjoy seeing pictures of those beautiful old buildings.

I did that with both Tigger and Piglet - stuck them in various fruit trees...

Glad you like the pics, stirly. Yep, we were very lucky with the weather...sunny and not too hot.
