well i made it through the weekend! 7 days total. Had a great Saturday hiking with the family and ate dinner and went to bed early! 7 days total! i sat outside for a couple of minutes last night with my neighbor. she is an elderly lady and knows about my drinking. i hope she noticed i was sober cause usually i just sit and ramble. when i came in last night my 7 year old said to me "Hi Mommy, I am glad you are not drunk." it really hurt my feelings that she said this because I found it embarrassing but after i thought about it i was glad she noticed and it makes me realize that she knows more about what is going on than i give her credit for. i was always in denial that she was too young or that i was adult and adults drink so she would just have to deal with it. my mom was a heavy drinker and i know how much i dealt with dealing with her. well here is to another sober week...anyone want to do it with me?

I'm with you Starfairy. Our families always know more than we think they do. It will be two weeks for me tomorrow, which is usually when the cravings begin and when that little voice starts saying "you can have just one glass of wine." But I'm prepared this time with L-glut and this forum!Good habits breed good habits; bad habits breed bad habits.Comment

Star, today is a week for me. We're on the same time track, so I'm here for support if I can give it! Congrats on doing the right thing for your kids! I think it's so important for them to not have a drunk mom! Fantastic going!!Comment
