Hello to all! I did not drink yesterday. I have been completely unable to control myself for the last 6 months. I'm not so new here, doing a lot of reading and of course when I'm drinking I stay away from the forums. I managed four sober months last summer but the holidays did me in...I credited Baclofen for the success I had but now I'm not so sure, it's not helping this time. I jump around from the meds threads to the AF threads and am certain of one thing now: I absolutely cannot moderate. My new plan is to taper off the meds completely and tackle this with support and changing my attitude. I discovered Jason Vale's book from reading one of the posts here, downloaded it to my Kindle and read it cover to cover over the next 24 hours. It was a real eye-opener for me, and yet it all seems so freaking obvious! I think what was different for me was the way he explained the perception of deprivation and how to look at it differently. Any thoughts or suggestions to keep my mind where it needs to be will be sincerely appreciated, this is a great forum.

Hey HIA(here.i.am)--you DO have some control or you wouldn't have been able to post here. Good job...hope to see more often.
Nicely done to LG and Nora too.

I did not drink yesterday.
I didn't drink yesterday and today I was with dogs.......not good with a hangover with all that barking so I was glad to be hangover free.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
