    I did not drink yesterday.

Perhaps a bit of an odd ball approach. Rather than saying I will not drink today and risk the feelings of self reproach if I change my mind for whatever reason, I will celebrate a day I did not drink. Whether it’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 1000, well, you get the picture. Here’s a place you can pat yourself on the back for even one day of abstinence and perhaps start you on the path of reaching your goals.

So, I did not drink yesterday. In fact I did not drink Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

I look forward to reading about your successes!

Thanks Zen. Not trying to count up days. Just thought this might be an alternative to "I am not going to drink today.", where anyone can pat themselves on the back for even a day without al.

RE: Gout--I'll put here as this can help many. Although alcohol is definitely the biggest contributor, many people who do not drink or drink very little can suffer with high uric acid levels due to dietary habits.

The best results my clients experience is by drinking a dark cherry juice(black or montmorency) and taking Alfalfa tabs. Both escort uric acid out of the body. Day 1-3 take 2-4 oz 4-5 X's perday of juice and 10 (650mg) Alfalfa tabs with every meal. Start reducing as symptoms recede afterward. Some people take only on flareups and some maintain with a daily regime of reduced dosage.

        I did not drink yesterday.

I didn't drink yesterday, in fact I had my final AL drink finished at 2 am on May 21st, and I haven't drank since then. 89 days and counting!
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

          Sensational stuff RC!

Just do your best. That's all we can do, and with a positive attitude like the one you have, you have kicked goals, and you are on the path of your truth, slowly but surely.

          Keep it going.

I didn't drink yesterday either and woke up without a hangover. I LOVE this approach. Sometimes I can get hard on myself and forget how far I actually have come. I use to enjoy hangover free mornings so much and feel very proud because they felt hard earned.... it's good to remember to pat myself on the back for feeling good when I wake up. I know that must sound funny... that feeling good is a victory.

RC, my friend, this is a good thing for you. You have a wedding to be involved with, a business to run (to anyone reading, RC is a FABULOUS source of info about all natural health subjects!) and a life to be continued...................

Yesterday was one of the saddest days of my life, and I did not drink. Incredible.
