Hi Happy how come they are so dear? We are must be further away from where they are grown than you but they are only about 50 cent each I think.

The majority of banana farms got wiped out in the cyclone that happened just after the floods - that was in February. They'd just got on their feet after Cyclone Larry and then that - poor buggers...still I wont pay $14/kg...even the local Chinese doesnt sell banana fritters anymore...Mrs Tips banana fritters would go down a treat now.

Puts me in mind of the time we were in the Tenerife where there are groves of bananas. DW ordered an hawaiian pizza, yep you guessed it out it came with the usual ham and pinapple and a ton of flippin bananas, son and I had a right good laugh.

Mr JC's just walked in as there is no body needs his invaluable services at court and I asked him what kind of fruit I am...............
