In today's paper:

The number of people admitted to hospital with alcohol-related problems has soared by 25 per cent in just 5 years.
Around 3000 booze paitents were taken in every DAY in England last year, with 8 per cent facing a high risk of health problems.
Figures also showed there were 392,787 alcohol related crimes in 2010/11.

Cym, someone Hubs and his family have known for years was having a dispute with a store clerk over money while he was drunk. He went out to his car, got a pistol and went back in demanding his money. He will die in prison for armed robbery, and doesn't even remember doing it.
