Evening All you lovely Undies
I loved your post Tawny, I was in stitches. KTAB that post was hilarious, out of the mouths of babes, eh? Hello Happy, how is your beautiful kitty going, Mr G, Sapphie, Techie, Tippie, Lillie, Sunny, Beags, Reggie, Ronnie, BBBJ, Ms B, Stirly Girl, Starting Over, and all others to come, I hope you have all enjoyed a great Tuesday and are enjoying a relaxing lovely night, I know I am, and looking forward to a great Wednesday, hopefully all is well with all my lovely Undies' worlds and if it so happens that things aren't all well, just remember my Granny's saying "This too shall pass", this applies to both good and bad situations and has always worked for me. On that note, I'll say, Take Care, Be Kind to Yourselves and Love and Sunshine Always Kaza xToday, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day. ~Quoted in P.S. Kaza, your posts always lend such a sweet, positive note to the boards.
Now can someone PLEASE tell me about this burger and beetroot combination....For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Cheapie - simple bun and burger, tinned beetroot slice (s), sliced tomato, chopped ICEBERG LETTUCE (and I mean chopped not torn you need to get the brown bleed line) fried onions (within an inch of their life) and sauce, preferably tomato but BBQ has crept in..
Posh - Burger bun by exclusive baker toasted to perfection, Meat pattie of Wagyu beef, grated roasted beetroot, sliced heirloom tomato, perfect salad greens, stuff the onion I dont like it mostly but when I do fried shallots and then the choice of house sauces or mustards.....yum yum yum....

Easy-peasy.
Get bun, separate and toast.
On bottom bun, pile on shredded lettuce. Add sliced tomato. Add cooked burger meat. Add fried egg. Add fried onion. Add bacon. Add beetroot slices (from a can). Add shredded cheese and top with a generous squirt of dead horse. (The effete like to add some canned pineapple.) Put the top bun on and fang.
Or ... you can listen to Happy.

Ohhh I can't resist coming in on this one!!!
Both Happy's and Tawny's burgers sound jolly damn good. Jeez I am so hungry now. If I were you Stirly I would go either one - sounds brilliant - have a lovely evening all. H'mm now what will I cook Mr K (bless him), for tea, I think it has to be a BURGER!! Kaza xxToday, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day. ~Quoted in P.S. Okay, at the risk of getting a convo going exclusively about beetroot, why does it have to be the tinned kind. Can't you just boil a couple and slice them? And is roasted beetroot very different in taste from tinned beetroot? And do you really put a fried egg on it Froglet or are you just playing with us? And, and, and "dead horse"? How strong is the sauce that you use anyway. Curls your hair or something? Crikey, now I'm almost afraid to try it....For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Actually Stirly
Home made beetroot is to die for, much better even than the tinned variety, my beautifull mother in law always made home made beetroot, not sweet, just right - she used to cook the beetroot - cool it, peel it, add vinegar and Voila - perfect!! Go with the Froglet's fried egg - an absolute essential must, as is the friend onion and (for me) LOADS of shredded cheese!! And correct me if I'm wrong Tawn but isn't "dead horse" just tomato sauce?? Oh Stirly are you in for a treat - heaven let me tell ya. Kaza xxToday, give a stranger one of your smiles. Plain old tomato sauce or ketchup as it's also known in some parts of the world.
Interestingly, some of the best burgers I've eaten were made by Greeks! :h
