Underoos and guests - September and it is spring!

    Hi Juja

I have been thinking about this one for a little bit. I can only really speak for myself, like Sunny has. I dont want to be congratulated and patted on the head each and every day for not drinking - that actually makes me WANT to drink. I struggle every single day and mostly I am winning, and on the days when I do stuff it and need to talk I know I can come here and receive a kindly kick up the arse or a picture that makes my day or some words that are sent in a true spirit of care and not a platitude. Sometimes I dont even ask and its there, my safety net.

With that said I am still not adverse to being bought a house....

Oh and Raggsey just had a walk up the dog park and there was a PIPER!!! a good one too. Reverberating off the reservoirs concrete walls. Awesome...

      Hi Juja

I think we all find our on ways of dealing with our struggle to be AL free, whether it be meds, supplements, yoga, meditation the list goes on.I know with myself I had to commit myself to being 100 per cent AF free.but at the same time did not want to be thinking about AL 24/7, so for me popping into the undies thread has been a life saver, there is always the support, and persnonally I love the humour, freindlyness[sorry about some of my spelling] and just reading about the every days things, the others are up to.
Wishing you all the best on your journey Lilly

You guys never talk about your struggles with AL. Are all of you AF, and perfect, unlike the rest of us who are still struggling? Just curious. Underoos seems to be more of a chat room than a Al site. If you've overcome the beast, fill me in as to how. I'm not doing so well after being AF 5 1/2+ weeks, have succumbed, plus a vacation looms starting this weekend. Shit. Maybe I'll make it in time, but this is SOP.

Bout time you popped in :H

          Look,

When I first came here I was pretty much a two speed girl. Stop and go. On and off.
Trouble with adopting that attitude is that you miss the whole process thingy in between. Chipping away at it, and learning from your own unique journey. When I blow it I don't kick my own arse any more, and I don't start a thread entitled 'Fuck up no. 1,562'.... I have a little chat with myself and uncover why I did it, re-commit and move on. The time in between incidences of drinking is getting longer and longer, so I reckon I'm winning.

Big one for me....when I start getting the witching hour cravings I sit down and think of some really amazing shit that I can do the next day. There is no way I'm going to spoil that for myself with a hangover.

I get up most mornings now and feel so bloody
remarkable....getting munted has very little appeal for me any more. There's too much good stuff in my life to enjoy.

Does that help or am I just talking shit again ? :H

Man child is back at school with man flu remnants.

Got one of those coco fibre lined hanging pots and cut an X hole in the bottom of the liner, hung the tomato out of there (roma) herbs on top, hanging off an old basket ball ring. Fun. Will be interedting to see how tomato goes.

Arvo gardeners ... it's time for the permanently dirty fingernails. YAY!

A little story to share. As some of you know, I tend to live in the single-room Froghouse during winter because it's cosy, easy to heat etc etc. Up the hill is the main house, an old mud brick joint with all the "normal" rooms.

... so I've got this tap in the kitchen. One of those lever jobs, you know, push up to turn on, push left to get hot ....

Soooo ... I walk up the hill the other morning and I can hear the pump running. Weird! Wonder why? Go into kitchen and find hot water tap turned on full bore. WTF???? Using my superior powers of deduction I conclude (based on ExhibitA) that a fusking possum has got in, hopped into the sink, scrambled out again and knocked the tap on.

Not only have I lost litres and litres of water but the little bastard has also cost me the better part of a big bottle of gas whilst boiling hot water was aimlessly pissing down the drain.

Now why, oh why, wasn't I prepared for this? Why didn't I see it coming?

Funny stuff. Don't know what I'd do if I lived in a trendy high-rise apartment at Docklands. Would never have to set a possum trap which I'm orf to do now. Even bought him some nice cantaloupe. Just in case he's intending to revisit ...

                          Happy arvo!

                            Arvo possums,

fusk Tawny I feel your pain re the flooding etc. Last week I left the hot tap on in the unit that I inhabit at work. Water everywhere!! Took about three hours to mop up. No possums around to pin the blame on, just some dopey old tart with a brain like a seive.
