Lunchtime nearly here folks & already much has been achieved in beagleland.
hi zenny! have missed you & will pm you shortly!
fellow borkens, we had some rain last night, only 4mls but holy borkin doody it was enough to defuse grumpy mr beagle. i feel sometimes like i'm living with an emotional time-bomb. but that is negative thinking which i will not have this weekend. after this little bit of rain, the land looked refreshed, with sun & a gentle breeze making outside a nice place to be. i weeded a bit, i washed all shitty sheep smelling clothing, then i made myself this enormous helping of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, dill, low fat feta (like that'd help) & asparagus. with eyes triple the size of my stomach i have forced it down. yum but erk at the same time. now brewing a huge pot of chook & vege soup to exist on for rest of weekend.
hopefully a big cold front will wash WA thoroughly over the next few days.
friend coming over to ride with me this arvo, Golden Retr has had required bath leaving her distinctly fluffy & marshmallow-like.
i'm going to plant my Royal Blue spud seedling today & attempt to grow my "special" tomato seeds.....but they may well be seeds of something smokeable as the place of purchase was rather dodgy.
happy : you're lucky in the boob dept then.
mr g : sounds like a great gig & can you please put me on your list of cd purchasors.
wavey : how good to see you in here. i've been reading your thread also.
sunny : hiya! gotta love our doggies huh. no substitute really.
missy : did you get my horsey photos?
bridgee : the Golden Retr is truly an amazing critter. such love, peace & happiness just ooze from them constantly, one cannot be sad when they are around.
tawny : you are such in industrious sort, & i would go mow, but mowing barley grass & capeweed & marshmallow is not really satisfying.
kaza: i hope you are well my friend & will pm you shortly.
sapphy : much love to you.
all internationalists: a big hello. i might even shock the borken out of you by starting up an army thread to beat you all...hahahaha an evil plot indeed.
i miss cw, has willowfrond been back, reggie lovely darling man :H you make me laugh.
ok.......
is that enough burbling garbage from me yet?
it's 11.22am & i will go an catch my new project horse (who matches my dog in colour!!!)
& do something i reckon i'm good at. truly. i work well with horses. i don't mean to blow my own horn or sound conceited but i think i do have a bit of a gift - & i am proud of it.
some new rules in the brain, some new boundaries for the humans in this house, some new expectations, & the promise of change. all is starting, just starting, with a glimmer of light & hope, to maybe get better here.
bridgee: will pm you shortly.

Last day of holiday here and I'm feeling like I'm only just starting to relax ...have been doing a bit of soul searching over the last 24 hours and I should have done it a bit earlier in the week. Oh well ...

We have had the most fantastic morning. Up at 5.30, all the boring stuff done. Then vegetable planting watering sampling and pottering with animal helpers.
Boy and I watched the most ludicrous movie and pissed ourselves laughing.
Then the boy finally located the satellite visible image of Colonel Sanders in Area 51 on Google Earth:H:H:H
Beat that borkans :HIf your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Hey Bridge!
Gardening as therapy is working a treat for Mr Happs...he has built a "structure" that will support a bean farm the likes of which will keep us in the green stuff for months. Apparently.
It looks like the razor wire from around the prison escaped and jumped into our yard. Really...
Hes now run off with eldest to attack Big W for books and potting mix.
Sounds like you and the boy are having a great day.

Beags I keep forgetting to answer you re seedlings.
If you harvest your own get them good and dry in the sun for two days.
I sow mine into a nursery flat tray, but punnets are cool.
I use seed raising mix, water it first, sow seeds and cover with about 2mm of more seed raising mix, then water really lightly so seeds don't wash out.
Water with a spray bottle until they germinate.
Plant them out at about 3-4cm, second set of leaves are visible.
They love seaweed and Charlie Carp and also Dynamic Lifter a bit later on when flowering. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

OK ... if we're permitted to blow icing sugar up our own arses ... I spent most of the morning attaching bamboo poles to the pergola roof and thought ... holy shit ... you get a totally different perspective from up here. Makes me feel good. That's just the bit facing north so I might drag the ladder to the other quadrants and see what I haven't seen before.
