tawny, ruby, thos you-tubes were bloody hilarious! thanks for giving me a true lol moment!
noice flower pics tawns - i may get inspired to go get some wild flower shots from up our gravel ridge - they are truly speccy, another reason i love spring. flowers + lamb + sunshine.
having ridden 1 horse, about to hop on the mechanical one for another weed slashing session. no lawn here folks, just a charming mix of marshmallow,barley grass,corkscrew & other assorted nasty things.
projects for spring ;
- work this nice mare well. she is kind, sweet tempered & willing to please, but highly unbalanced (maybe a bit like me? yeah right, except for the sweet tempered bit!!!!:H)
- learn how to get photos on puter & do the photobucket thingy as i really like seeing other people's shots & would thus like to contribute my own
- eat better
- slow down my brain
- defrost this one shelf in my freezer that would give Franz Josef glacier a run for its money
- continue this mindset of staying neutral, calm & pleasant, no matter what crap is flung at me.....so far it is working well.
- have more projects.

Miss Behaving;1184153 wrote: BTW, and of particular interest to Mr G and Sapphy, legislation is about to be introduced here to make it clear that disability support workers sleeping over in residential facilities are paid an hourly rate (at the minimum wage!) rather than an all-encompassing "sleepover rate". And $100 million has been budgetted for back-pay!! I wasn't sure what the situation is in Australia, but it has been a hard-won battle here, going on over years and years, and I'm happy that the Government has (grudgingly!) agreed. They looked particularly mean at the point at which they had no difficulty bailing out financial companies, while simultaneously arguing that paying support workers the minimum wage was unaffordable!

Disgraceful conditions, considering sleep is not an option in a lot of the settings concerned.
Guitarista;1184185 wrote: Morning all,
Great news on that hourly rate Missy. Saph would have the latest, but i think here, in victoria at least, there is an hourly rate up to a point, then a 'sleepover' fixed, crap amount. An hourly rate for sleepover workers, at penalty rates, all through the night is long overdue. I've done sleepover's in the past, and i never slept, and was often up in the middle of the night attending to something or other.
Ooroo.

Took myself out to the antique barn, nursery....... asparagus purchased....big futhermucker of a pot for potatoes.......most pleasant day except for the wind which is messing with a few things.
Time to pull the tracky dacks on. Tomorrow is completely given over to the garden....If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
