I'M HERE !!! Just got in from work. We have had an awesome 3" of rain and it is still raining !!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! I will be gardening on sunday!! Actually I will be moving plants and weeding but it will be so nice to be outside and not be trying to dig in concrete. This is just so wonderful - any customer who complained about the rain today got my "NO, this is awesome" speech!! That will teach them to complain!! LOL

Hello all--late checking in-- trying to do lots on 3 hours of sleep and still the flu--hubs is leaving for a work trip tomorrow so I will be solo and I am a bit concerned because it feels like I might collapse. Also have to seee the bitches at soccer in 45 minutes-- yuck. I appreciate you all saying I am nice-- a lady I just let not too long ago who is a teacher at Luke's old school (he did not have her) and who babysits at times (that is why I set up to meet her mainly) called me last night and was just chatting and mentioned that I was so much nicer than the women that hang at that pre-school-- I must not be the only one who thinks they are harpies! She said they even mistreated her and looked at her as if she was some type of servant-- she said her hubs is black and she is white and wondered if that was it-- I told her that they are so snobby they probably did not even know about her home life.


What you said abotu parents worrying-- it gets me thinking about the lack of contact with my mom-- she is just too much but I can see that if she worries not contacting alot could be tough for her. Just thinking-- not doing anything different about it now. Time for soccer-- I will be back-- sorry for typos toofast

Oh Nora, I'm so sorry about your friend's nephew...how tragic! How terrible what his mom must be going through. I really can't imagine how hard that would be. Sending prayers their way...

Today was a big day. Took my mom to tons of appointments, including her physical. Her doctor cleared her to go back to work and to resume driving (yes, she was still working at 82)! I am taking her out driving on Friday to see how she does. Talk about role reversal! Anyway, we are both thrilled with her progress.

I went to one when this first hit. Since I am allergic to tamiflu all they can do is say for me to rest, have fluids, tylenol. I am glad that I am not really having a headache with this one--knock wood-- but I am set to go back to the neuro for pain relief and some preventive-- it just takes longer than I would like to get in. Luke got so hot at soccer tonight that he had to be carried to the car-- then I looked in his lunch bag and he had hardly eaten-- he gets to talking and does not eat half of it. Then this afternoon he had a pal over and they only had a smoothie-- he usually grazes all afternoon. So I did escape the harridans but not for a good reason. He was spry after he ate and drank. Hmm-- it is 9 p.m. here. Instead of doing laundryI think I will do nothing and drink some green tea. Today when the mom of this playmate came over to get her son she actually asked me if I cleaned the house myself-- she said it was too big and too clean--ha ha-- maybe the obsessive house cleaning is not the thing to be doing this week-- but lack of routine in the past was just not my friend and lead to me being depressed which lead me to AL-- and I DO NOT want to go back there. (By the way-- the house is not too big-- it is just normal).

Rubes-- taking your advice to get dressed and made up around the beasts-- and get this-- 2 of the worst ones actually asked me what the occasion was--why did I look nice? Of course since it wa obvious they were trying to put me down with the complimnt (the snide tone etc)-- I decided I would call them on it-- I said "Well, you know, I did not set the bar very high with some of my other duds so anything else would look pretty good". They did nto know how to respond- HEEE. Of course my husband did tell me at one point in the past that I was wearing the Kevin Federlien collection (Britney Spear's ex who got so huge and wore T shirts and gym shorts all the time)-- I am not going back to that-- I may not be where I want to be but I am not just going to ask for derision! See you tomorrow-- my friend who is 9 monnths preg is being induced Friday so we are oing to spend the morning together. Hope everyone is well!

ATL, SO sorry about Luke!!! That's scary. I worry about Jack playing football, thank goodness the heat has broken. Did you see my kids pics? Ry's the little one, who is adopted.
Women like that serve no purpose in this world, I think. Rudeness belies the true ugliness behind their clothes and make up. There's NO excuse for it, but you're handling yourself so well. Feel better, please!

I loved the pics-- your grandkids are gorgeous--just gorgeous. They could be kid models-- actually your daughter , SIL and family from the pics I have seen! Send some of your good recipes if you get a chnace-- like the corn beef-- I may do that next time MIL and FIL are here and drive my MIL nuts (ha)! Time for bed--yea!!

Thanks, Rubes. I am so happy for her! She really enjoys the social network that work provides. She would never be happy sitting at home for too long. She is still pretty sharp! She's feeling better and getting antsy, so it's time for her to get back out in the world. Mind you, she will have to pass her road test with me on Friday...
