Good morning, my dear friends! Grateful, where are you? I sent you an mail and you haven't answered back, which is very abnormal for you! I hope everything is going good for you. Ruby, I LOVE waterfalls! Will you PLEASE take us to see those in the picture? I am sorry you have so much going on in your life right now. I want you and Kelly both to be totally stress free during our visit together. I am just sick that it is going to be so short! At the time, I was trying to work it out around Kelly's job, but I think she will be unemployed by then, as her company is going under. Fen, that is wonderful news about your Mom! I am praying she has NO symptoms of a stroke. If she has lost any coordination, there is the risk of her falling. Does she have one of those life alerts? I think medicare pays for that. ALT, did you read what I wrote about my son losing so much weight on ADIPEX? He never gained any of it back either. Congrats on 30 days! That is a wonderful accomplishment and I know you are feeling so much better! Keep it up, girl! We are so proud of you! Sunni, I hope sweet little Maggie is okay! Back from the vet....the cancer has spread well and truly to her other leg now. The sore on her other paw is a tumor which has come to the surface, like it does on the other front paw. So, it is trying to get it to heal which means a little bandage and some stuff I use which usually works. Once I get the sores to heal, she is good to go for a while.

Just a fly-by check in, will talk later, all. I'm in between commitments, running out again now to finish setting up bank closing. Took MIL to the funeral; she sat in my drive this morning blowing the horn for me, and we got to the funeral home just after the family (NO one else there) 30 minutes before we were supposed to! THEN, she couldn't turn her cell phone off, and when I sat with some of my oldest friends, one with severe MS, she sat on the inside of the pew. It was taking my friends a bit to get out of the pew, and MIL was PUSHING me!! :nutso: We were walking to the graveside, and because my nose is flaky from blowing it so much, she grabbed my arm and proceeded to pick the flakes off!! I thought she was going to spit on her Kleenex and wipe it!! :H

Thanks for all your good wishes for mags - she is doing so well though - eats like a horse, plays with Ben - so we shall just plod on with her. Ruby - your m-i-l would drive me round the bend!! I am SO lucky with mine Hi Rog - and Bye rog - LOL Hey Nora - nice to see you here! how are things going? How are you feeling these days? I am back to cleaning - half way through, just shampooed the carpets - now on to the bathroom. And this is just upstairs where my daughter was! Going to iron tonight, so a busy day!

Let me know where and I will read it when I ever get to sit for more than 10 mins-- we are about to go to karate, hubs will be back late tonight -- tomorrow night we are getting to go to a play but that means the afternoon will be slammed with Luke and his activities and 1st grade homework (cannot believe that they have that now!)

Rubes-- sorry about your friends mom-- your MIL sounds like a trip!

I screwed up big time last night drank six beers. On the good side, I used to drink 12 with no problem, but on the bad sad I picked a fight with Hubs over money.....it's just such a continual struggle and I get so frustrated. So my alcoholic brain kicks in and I say WTF....I HATE this disease and am very upset with myself right now. I had a long talk with my 19 year old...he was so sweet and let me cry all over him.
OK...onward and upward...I will n ot quit quitting. I want to have my former life back....
I hope all of you are well......I am going to surf here some and prolly go back on the antabuse in a few days when the beer is out of my system.

Sun, thank you. And with Maggie, as dogs always know us, she knows what's going on, and what a wonderful friend you are to her, her Alpha. Her love for you is boundless, and that's a treasure.
Roger, I know you want steady, full-time, but you're working, bro, and I know you love to work!
MB, ya gotta learn, girl, where 1 beer will lead - to an argument, right!? Wonderful attitude to keep plugging at it, and cutting back so much too. You'll get there, with work. I certainly hope Clay won't be playing again for a while so he can really heal. I understand a child's impatience when they feel fine, but you have to be completely sure before he takes any more risks. SO glad he's healing.
Nora, dear heart, I know you're overwhelmed. Life throws us many curves, doesn't it? But you are working at all this and under such pressure. AL is another pressure, I know you know. Take care of you, please.
ATL, busy is good, but definitely give your husband some of the running duties as soon as he can. It will mean a lot to your son, too. Cabbage soup is ALWAYS good, too.
Biz, we miss you posting here, but understand the incredible strain the last weeks have put on you and your family. Give yourselves all some time to heal, and so glad you have someone to talk to who seems to be giving you good advice. In my prayers, love.
Vick, I'm happy the pics have you excited, and yes, it's a lovely place, so much to do. I only go out and do things when I have guests, and everyone is always welcome. My greatest job is to share the place I love most in the world, and you know when anyone visits I only want them to be able to share with me the peace the place gives me. To be able to live there one day keeps me going, so I can have friends come any time and pamper them. But you MUST get well, or I shall put you to bed!!
Grate, I never forget my friend in Penn. It makes me stronger knowing I have you all, and I only want to share with you so you can get some of the relaxation, the soul restoring, I've been lucky enough to find.

Mom is being discharged from the hospital tomorrow, to a skilled nursing facility. I think this is for the best, as she's still a bit shaky on her feet, and a bit fearful. Thanks so much for all of your prayers! :h
