            Morning all. I made a quick run to the store (about 2 miles) before traffic gets bad out there, and stopped at 6 yard sales coming back. Spent a whole $4. Bought my MIL 4 paperback books (she favors the ones with lots of heaving breasts), and a dream catcher to hang in my cabin bedroom. Will let you know if it works. The way I dream I'll probably short it out the first night.
            Nice and cool out there right now. You can smell the wood smoke from all the places people are cooking stuff for the weekend. High today is supposed to be 94, tomorrow 84, and Monday 74. Oh, and tropical storm Lee is expected here Monday, too. They're expecting up to 20" of rain in some places. Be safe, Vick. We need rain, just not that much. The worst part of the storm, though, is it's already spawning tornadoes. Haven't heard anything on Hurricane Katia. Are you in it's path, MB?
            Have a good weekend, all, and be safe. Now, I've got to put on my heavy rubber gloves and go scrub off the skwerl juice from the handrail. :H

              Rubes--I love that smell of wood smoke, don't you? I just found out our beach place is getting deluged-- but at least it is just rain and none of the other nonsense. Cannot believe the temp is going to go down that much-- I will have to plan outdoor dining on Sunday with the son gone (he just left and I keep expecting him to walk right back in). Tonight is the anniversary observed-- going to a restaurant I have wanted to try for a while-- not going to go whole hog but try to stay sane with it. I can always get back to the strict diet on Monday-- it was good all week (despite not losing a pound this week) I would really love to know why my MIL at 75 stopped drinking and lost 20 pounds in less than a month with no other changes....I guess I will wait a month and see what the effects are for me--but I would have to lose 15 more in 2 weeks and that is not going to happen. I need to learn patience-- I have been too large for years and it ain't gonna change overnight! I do feel so much better-- I did not realize how bad I was feeling daily from drinking-- I had no overt hangovers but I was not nearly as peppy and my skin is now so much fresher.

              Biz--hope you got to the shore and let your lawyers handle stuff.
              Mama-- I am sure you are all over the Noles right now-- I am counting down the minutes until the Tide rolls against the mighty Kent State (hee)!
              Vicki--I hope you are feeling well and your hubby is progressing.
              Mish-- meant to tell you-- you are one nice looking lady, hope all is well in your world.

              If I missed anyone I apologize-- I am about to go watch College Football game day (only in the South would this be required viewing for a female!)

                  ATL, I did the cabbage soup diet (do it whenever I really want to drop weight fast) and lost 14 pounds in just over a week. If you can eat cabbage, and I love it, and follow the plan, it works. At least for me. What restaurant are you trying? One of my favorites near the cabin is the Nacoochee Grill. The chef cooks over an open wood fire, and they have a delicious seafood platter. Their calamari was a bit tough, and Hubs got one meal that was too salty, but they fixed it immediately and offered upgrades for the problem.

                    Rubes-- I may do that cabbage soup diet to cleanse and jump start me. Great call. We are going to Local 3 off Northside Pkwy. It is owned by the folks who own Muss and Turners in Cobb. I wanted to do Miller Union but we could not get in at any time that did not conflict with the night football games which hubs wants to watch. On Sunday we were planning to go to the West Side (which is the area that is now gentrifying near the water treatment plant) to hit some spots--maybe Ormesby or 5 seasons (they have a roof deck). There must be rain somewhere-- I am having sinus in the front of my head-- that usually is a clue the weather is changing

                        Hello everyone. So glad to have 3 days off. Such a hectic week. We are leaving in just a few minutes to get Molly groomed. Poor little thing needs her hair cut so bad. We are thinking about getting a chihuahua mix. The babies were just born last week so it won't be for months. But, if there is a girl in the litter, I think we're going to get her. Molly would like a little playmate.
                        My Aunt went home. They have two caretakers now living there so they are being well taken care of. My Cousin has to give her the IV antibiotics though. They taught her how to do it so I hope that it goes well. I know that they don't want visitors but we will probably drop off some food tomorrow. We won't have to go in.
                        Ok - I've got to get moving. Poor Molly doesn't know that she is going for a traumatic event. She'll be so happy to be going bye-bye until she gets there. :upset:

                          Hi Nora! I'm glad your aunt was able to go home. Your cousin will do fine...I'm sure your aunt already has an I.V. in place...your cuz probably needs to just inject the proper amount into the port. I think most folks are happier in their home setting.

                          Gosh...good luck with Molly. Poor pup! I think grooming is traumatic for most critters. I can't wait to see puppy pics. :h

                            Nora, she will be happier at home. What's what we did with Momma, and it was for the best. I'm sort of dog shopping too, just am very careful, selective. Funny, I just groomed my little dogs this week, and need to get TMB in the tub now, but that takes a forklift!! The little ones do OK till nail clipping, then they go rabid! Tink's feet are so tiny, tho, hers have to be done often.
                            You know I've told ya'll stuff happens to me, and Hubs, that doesn't happen to other people? Hubs went to Lowe's today, and as he walked past a truck parked nearby, he noticed a terrible smell and a bunch of people around it. :yukko: The guy had a 13 FOOT ALLIGATOR in the bed of his truck! Caught it in LA (Lower Alabama). Hubs was impressed. At least it wasn't like the emu he saw in the middle of the road one morning at 5 AM.
