Good Morning all - I slept an incredible 12 hours last night !! Must have needed it. Went to bed at 9.00.

Well done Tired on day 5!! Good for you. have fun today - I work at 2.00 until close.

Hope Vicki is doing well - all we can do is send prayers her way. Rog - have a good day today - are you working?? ruby - sounds like you have your work cut out for you - wish we could get some rain - we had 1/2" the night before last - the first since beginning of July. The temps have broken though and are supposed to be in the 70's this week - lovely.

RC - you do NOT stop the thread - there was just no-one around at the time you posted!

Georgie - I am so pleased your gathering went better than you expected. You must be pleased it is over now! Now on with your plan - you do have a plan right?? you need a plan...

Fen - hope you had a good weekend at Tick Hollow - was the weather kind to you?

OK, we need rain, but it's dark as night here, thunder is rumbling, and when the Weather Channel's Jim Cantore mentions your obscure, remote little rural area on TV for a tornado WARNING, you sit up and take notice! Can't see anything in the house without the lights on. 6 or 7 reports of tornadoes so far. If you lose me for a while, our power goes of with a bird peeing on the line, and it's POURING here! 15 1/2" of rain in Louisiana. Don't mess with Mother Nature!!!

Aww Sunshine you have to work today?

I thought most places closed for labor day. Anyway hope you have an easy day at least. I went to Michael's craft store today and Barnes & Noble today and they were open so what the hell am I talking about? I guess a lot of places are open. Oh well have a good one.

Sorry, just read this today and reinforces some of the tales and stories I heard as a child. Didn't warp me TOO much!! :H:H No comments, please!!

Rog, made one of Hub's favorite rainy night suppers - Breakfast! Cheese scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon and sausage, buttered cheese grits, sliced (last of the summer) tomatoes, extra cheese and jelly. He's VERY satisfied!

Don't know if I'll sleep much tonight. Weather (see previous 2 posts) still awful, no end in sight.

Have people calling like crazy wanting to rent houses. It's feast or famine here, you know? Weeks and no calls, then 5 or 6 a day.

Wooo-- just got out from under the tornado warning here-- very strange weather-it was in the low 70s and then jumped 10 degrees in what felt like 15 minutes with humidity and boom-- tornado time. I hope me and Rubes don't have them all night-- I cannot sleep when that happens as I am always wanting to get ready and get my child out of his bed if the wind picks up too much. The headache was really raging yesterday afternoon-- was in a steamy shower for many many minutes to try to help it then I just decided it had to go by itself. I am making an appt with the neurologist as soon as they open-- I cannot have the 10 day headache--it was going down my neck and into my back last night so no sleep. Of course, now that the front is moving through it seems to have eased up. Just planning to get back on the diet tomorrow morning and contiue my healthier ways.

Georgie--welcome- I saw your other threads-- these folks are great support with many wise words so keep on hanging with us. Will check in tomorrow morning after carpool

Morning everyone, though by now you're all sound asleep. It's 9AM, Tuesday 6th September, and Spring is in the air. I'm running behind time as it took me so long to read back, and now I don't have time to respond to your replies. However, a big warm welcome to Tired and Georgie. This is the place to be for sure.

Beautiful, Mishy. I'm still awake here. Worried about our weather, still. We're under tornado watches and flood watches, warnings, still. Not worried a bit about the floodings here, but tornados hit anywhere, and are especially scary at night when we can't see anything. Dogs are usually my early warning system, though. They're sleeping peacefully right now, so not worried at this second.
Love having our new folks chiming in here. The more the merrier. But I am worried about some regulars we haven't heard from. Ya'll don't want me calling you, do you?
ATL, hope you're safe through the night. I've called my children, grandchildren, but that's the best I can do, I guess.
Has anyone here actually ever eaten one of those glazed donut sausage-egg-cheese sandwiches?? They look SO gross to me.
