The worst part for me

My oldest daughter just got home and has been giving me the silent/ snippy treatment and told me that it was because I drank last night. I then watched her without her knowing and saw such a sadness that it makes me cry:upset: I can't do this to them anymore, i wish I could do it all over again i would never have started I swear. Next hubby will be home and it will be the same with him:upset: I want to hide in the closet. She just stared at the floor and looked so sad:upset:

hey there not much to change the past but with every step forward you can showw them and yourself that you can change and are willing to make the changes .. sit them down and talk with them ask for help .. as i have seen in life we need oru family friends for surport .. heres the hand of this whole thread saying we are here for you ..so keep typing and come up with the plan that will work for you and them ... write the pro's and cons of everything you want to change and just start with the first step and keep moving forward from there ... sending you love and big hugs hang in there girl you can do this

Sorry, my computer's been having a scan, so I missed your posts, Georgie. I know exactly what you're talking about. When daughter was in highschool, she would get SO upset with me. I didn't stop then, made a lot more terrible blunders, so for years I've been earning back hers and the rest of the family's trust. They've heard our apologies, promises, but it's our actions that prove we're working on the problem. Don't let anymore time slip away, OK? Again, so glad you're here.

Finally home!!

Welcome Georgie. So glad to have you here. Yes - I know what you are saying about the sadness that you see in your family. :lI want to stop seeing that in their eyes. So, I have been working on revamping my toolbox/plan. Keeping myself busy and away from the triggers or habit really helps.

Ruby - love your pics and one day, I will see it in person! You are an artist too??? Beautiful.

Well - we dropped Molly off for her haircut. (which she needs desperately) We had our plans.....going out to lunch and shopping. Get everything taken care of and would be all done by the time they called. Half an hour later, I got a call that they wouldn't be able to trim her. She has problems with her back legs popping out of their sockets. Sure enough, they were acting up so bad that she was holding her leg up and wouldn't put any weight on it. :upset: Poor little thing. We put her thru all of that and she didn't even get her hair cut. So, we will call a vet around here that has a groomer and see if they will do it.

I just went and got a manicure (fake nails), a pedicure, a lip wax and an eyebrow wax. Talk about spoiling myself. Of course, now I've decided that I don' like my fake nails. :H Too late now. Certainly feels weird typing.

HI all! I'm kind of a newbie. I am on Day 3 of Sober September. Pretty good so far. I was pretty cranky today with all of the soccer, errands, 2 year old tantrums, cleaning/laundry. Usually would pick up a bottle of vodka for the end of day and just get obliterated BUT not today. I feel so much better right now and HAPPY I didn't grab that bottle.

Good Sunday morning all, hope this day finds you all well. Last night was a bit painful, seeing the sadness on my family's faces but that was yesterday and I plan to never do that again. I have a family event today with my husbands family that I am so not looking forward to. I am just so fat and tired looking and I have no idea what I will be wearing. Nothing fits at this time and I refuse to by bigger clothes. Well I'm off to have a cup or two of my morning coffee. I will check in later. Wish me luck.

Morning, folks. The fun continues in this area, so I shall go out cruising the sales, looking for those elusive $2 fabulous finds.
Having to lots of extra grooming with the pups right now, as 2 are indoor-outdoor, and anything biting out there hitches a ride back into the house. So, besides the 2 baths they've had this week, they get 2 combings a day, antiseptic spray, and I wash all the linens twice a week. Cloudy today, hope that means it's gonna hold down the heat. Sunni, I can't believe the heat wave you guys have been having. Don't think we've had any 100's here, but it's still been hot. And dry. You know what Southerners say about all the Yankees moving in - It's not the heat, it's the stupidity. OK, OK, don't shoot me!! JK!!
Time to start their routine again. We still have MIA's - where are you, Peeps??

GOOD MORNING !!! Gosh - I feel as if it forever since I was here - such a bsuy time with work and the grands and stuff. anyway, I am off today and plan on catching up. Georgie - a huge welcome to you :l:l I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling down - but you can only go forward. The tired looking disappears the less AL that you have - really! Put a big smile on your face even if you don't feel like it - often just putting that smile there (even if it is fake to begin with) makes you feel better. Good to have you here. If you want to, tell us a little more about you - we are a good bunch here and will always be here to support you - or listen to you when you need to vent/whinge.

Tired - a big welcome to you too! SO well done on day 3 - that is awesome - those first few days are so hard. I am modding - sort of. I will get to AF again - right now, have a couple a night and am thinking I need to go the whole hog and get to AF again. Just the thought of those first few days.... so well done. Nice to have you here.

Ruby - I think that would drive me silly with all those yard sales and stuff going on for that long, but you obviously enjoy it - and seem to get some good bargains too. I tortured myself this morning by putting the alarm clock on the other side of the room, jumping out of bed, hitting snooze, jumping back in bed and lying there waiting for it to go off again, just to do the same thing all over again - finally I thought what a futile exercise - so got up!! I have had such a busy few days but they have all been good. Our heat has broken and we had 1/2" of rain last night. A drop in the bucket of what we need but will take anything.

Fen - enjoy the cabin this weekend..... and HAVE FUN !!

ATL - sorry to hear of the disappointment with the weight loss - maybe you aren't eating enough?? A friend of my aunts in UK went to a nutritionist and she was told to eat MORE but of different stuff - and has since been losing weight. I hate that you have so much trouble with your headaches and sinus - poor you. Hang in there. My daughter is trying to lose weight too and it is heart breaking for me to see her eat well and then not lose - but the weight didn't go on overnight.....but it is still hard. It will come off eventually.....:l

Nora - so pleased your aunt is home - and your cousin will be fine - as Fen said, she will already have the IV in place..... and your aunt will be so much happier too. Sorry about your dog - all the stress for nothing eh?? hope you are doing okay otherwise??
