Hi all
It is finally raining after 3 or 4 weeks without. Sorry to hear about Vick. Geez...well I only read back a couple. Been awful busy and work and work and kids and school. At least a 3 day weekend so am having fun sewing a hat and reading and playing wii and piano and even cooking and talking to the kids. Took them bra shopping which is so horrible and expensive and had to buy one a dress for a dance next weekend....well I am just so glad to be kicked back and goofing off...

Just woke up from a wonderful nap. Been such a lazy day. Went to work for a bit and then was able to finish it from my computer at home. Cleaned up a little. Made some chili (crazy with the heat we are having) Then I took a nap. :H
So sorry to hear about Vicki! Glad she is out of ICU though!!!!! :l
Bird - I can't even imagine having two girls that age. Wow!!!

Cousin just let, full of steak and potatoes but terribly disappointed with our offer. Have to give Hubs the props; he's trying so hard to work this sale out, just for me. He must have made an offer when I left the room, since cousin left in a somewhat better mood. I think you all know me well enough to know I won't cheat anyone, but by the same token, have to be realistic. I'm a bit blinded because I want the place SO bad, where my Momma was born, where my g'grandpa built the still-standing chimney. I want to preserve the heritage, but he desperately needs the money. So I understand, and 10 years ago there would be no question about his asking price. Right now, we're his best, maybe only, option. But we will NOT cheat him. I certainly couldn't sleep at night if I did.

hey there everyone .. what a long day and got alot done front yard looks great.. did the one job early this morning and another late this afternoon roof repair ... waited till it cooled off alittle .. but all and all good day ..
thankx for the update sunshine ... my mouth well gums are getting use to the fake teeth and these arent the permanate teeth yet ... but i guess i can deal with alittle discomfort .. better then going tooth less ..
and RC HELL NO DONT YOU DARE STOP POSTING please keep posting girl friend that what this thread is for .. TO LET THINGS OUT and just talk about everything and anything..

Hi all, back from the gathering,all went pretty well, my oldest daughter and her boyfriend ended up joining us so all was fine. My niece was there and kept giving me the ol stink eye ( my oldest sisters girl, her mom & I no longer speak and she chooses to involve herself). Anyway I just laughed it off literally when I caught her baring teeth at me I laughed out loud, well what else could I do? Anyway we passed each other by the food table and I did say hello to her, so I think I was the better person, today at least. Well gonna watch a little Telly. Bfn G

Starting Day 5 and had a great AL free weekend! Hope you all are doing well. Going to try and find some fun Labor Day events around town today for the kiddos. Have a great day everyone!

Just spent HOURS grooming the dogs. This time of year is especially hard on them. Had to treat, after the brushing and combing, every little 'hot spot' on their skin. Satan (aka Sadie) takes the most time since she's white.
Feel bad for all the exhibitors, yard sales yesterday and today, because even at 45 minutes till noon here it's dark and drizzly outside, but GAWD we needed the rain. Up to 6 inches expected tomorrow. Off at 1:30 to sign a rental contract, take a deposit, and we may have the other 2 rented. Hubs told me last night the offer he'd made may include another 10 acre tract, just land. But the house is full of furniture, which will stay, so I guess I'll have to have an estate sale. Living room, dining room, and 3 bedrooms full of furniture, not to mention all the kitchen stuff and closets full. Oh well. I've done it before, about 8 years ago, so it will go quickly. Feel pretty confident we'll close the deal this week, while Hubs is on vacation. All I want is to escape to the cabin!! :H
RC, TMB takes every step I do in the house, loves just being close enough to touch my legs. When my cousin came over last night, he jumped everytime he heard a bump in the house, afraid she'd get in. Ask T, she does NOT like strange men near me.
Hope Vicki is better, and everyone is having a good Labor Day. Our temps are supposed to be in the 70's next week, which is so nice. Again, we haven't had the terrible heat, but bad enough. Feel sorry for the folks in Texas still battling both the heat and wild fires. Just heard there could be another big storm coming up from the Gulf. Don't worry about anything but tornadoes here, as if it floods at my places ya'll all better build an ark!
