      Chilly here too. The rest of the country has experienced 'Georgia' weather this summer, but please don't return the favor for the winter.

      Birdy, just drag her through these horrible years by the hair of her teeth. They are going through so much at her age, the changes from little girl to adult, and while this is the dangerous time for bad influences, she has you. And I know what a caring, loving, woman you are. Stay with that, and love her.

      Son just called, actually had a conversation, asking for my advice! mg Why is it they all come to me for anything technically involved with big decisions when they don't want any advice beforehand? Oh well, I guess it pays to keep my mouth shut for years and let them find their own way. Suddenly they go 'OH MY! Momma will have the answer!! :H' He has the opportunity to buy a big tract of property for a great price, but needs advice on it. I hope it works for him, since it's a great feeling to actually have something.

      Off to take Hubs lunch, photograph the house he's working on, contact some other renters. Had a lovely woman call last night about the one bedroom house we'll be having available next month. She said 'I'm in my 60's, will that be a problem for you?' :shocked: We've had houses destroyed by young marrieds, unsupervised kids, smoking, dogs, all the things I warn them against, so unless they run an undercover juke joint in the tiny little place we're good!

        Yeh - I feed the squirrels but when they start requesting food???? I am not a restaurant !!!! LOL And I actually feed the birds - but the squirrels steal food!!

          When my grands were very small, Hubs built what they called a 'kwerl klapper'. It was a spinning wheel with an ear of dried corn on each spoke, attached to a a tree. If the squirrel didn't jump just right to get it, he got 'klapped' in the head! :H

            Hey y'all I mean hello (lol hanging out with some of you southerners is wearing off on me. Sorry Ruby I had to. LOL, Today is Tuesday my hard day, I thought I would just keep busy and not bug hubby at work but he called me. We only talked briefly when he asked. R U OK?). It sounded just like it did when I was guilty except this time I am NOT. I know that I have to earn back the respect of my family but GAWD that pisses me OFF! This man was the most abusive,rotten self centered man the first ten years our marriage that I am sure that he was a big part of my starting in the first place that this higher than thou attitude just makes me want to kick him where it hurts!!!!!!!
            Okay. A little testy today I guess. At this point in my life I would like: husband to have a real job 9-5. Both girls away at school and NOOOOOO dog. I am in need of space...... Sorry everyone talking through a rough patch is all..... Don't mind me. BBL hopefully in a better mood. G

                Georgie--just hang in there-- I have some of those days too where I want to throttle my husband-- he just destroyed his umpteenth 50 dollar controller to the Xbox while playing a video game with his friend over the wireless--this is a 48 year old man for goodness sake! I am not sure he is sued to being around us as much as he has been-- since he has a 2 week hockey layoff.
                Rubes-- it is so chilly and gloomy out there isn't it? We had loads of limbs down last night but luckily nothing else.

                After a weekend without son getting back into the routine-- no more splurges on food for me! Hubs got me an iphone and told me that I can use it to do weight watchers on line! What a romantic!

                  Georgie - just let it go - that is all you can do - fretting over it isn't going to do YOU any good and you need to look after YOU. ATL - my daughter lost weight with WW on line - she thought it was really good. I know hubs didn't realise what he was saying when he said it - he was trying to help, knowing that you want to lose weight! Really !!!:H:H Hang in there all - I am out in my garden pulling a ton of stuff out that I just found out has roots that go to china - and I have to dig down for each one I pull out and have hundreds to pull!!! Getting a good work out that is for sure!! The temps are in the 70's and breezy - first time outside for me with weather like this for months - it is GEORGOUS.

                    Sun-- it is pretty cool how you can track it all so easily on an iphone-- no amnesia about if I chose correctly or not since it is all right there! I am going ot see how I do this week and do cabbage soup for a cleanse and jump start if I need to next week. Just got another leaky tire so I am off to Goodyear to have them check before I get sonny boy for karate. I think I better change into long sleeves!

                        I AM HOME.....will check in later.....exhausting, long weekend.............have not read back........but will when I get home......NO BOOZE FOR THIS GIRL FOR 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GONNA MAKE IT THIS TIME!!!!
                        Oh...and I just got national recognition for providing excellent customer service......an on-line survey was done to all my residents and my team got great feedback....I cannot belive it.....I started bawling.....it was awesome!!!
                        I love my family more than alcohol.:h

                          R.C., Sun has tons of squirrel feeders in her back yard...and you wouldn't believe how many feathered free-loaders are raiding those things all day long. I'm not stealing food...I really have to work for it. First, I have to chase those winged seed-grubbers out of there...then I actually have to LEAP up or climb up to one of those feeders...it's a lot of work! A little bit of suet would really help keep my energy up. :H
