Nora - so sorry about your friends nephew - and his friends too - how awful for all the families. I just can't imagine what they are all going through. I hope your neck is feeling better today? ATL - hope that your aches and fever have gotten better - hard to function properly feeling poorly. And I wish you could see yourself from our eyes - you are an awesome person!! Georgie - how are you doing? Hope all is going well - how is the AL coming along? Hi Tony! Those pics that you find - where do you get them! Had to do a double take at this last one!! Jan - off to Orlando (or did you go yesterday) - I do hope it goes well for you. Ruby - busy as always and yes, we do pop back and forth - can't remember why - LOL. Hey guess what everyone? Listen...... can you hear it? It is RAIN!! yes, we actually have rain. It looks as if it is going to rain for a few hours too, so it might do some good. First decent rain since beginning of July!! Or is it June? I can't remember - all I know is the ground is like concrete. The dogs won't go out now either. I will have to get them out before I leave for work though. need to go and start getting ready.

If you truly are ready to start on the path of removing alcohol from your life, you came to the best place in the entire world to do it. The great thing about My Way Out is that it is just that - there is no one method of getting free of this demon called alcohol. There are those that attend AA meetings, those that use medicines, supplements and those that just dig in and fight day by day. You should decide how you want to attack this and have a look around the site. There is an AA thread, a meds section, a section for New people (Newbies) and then there are the day to day threads like this one where people come to just speak whats on their minds and form lasting friendships. Everyone is here to support you and not judge you. If you want some advice on how to begin your journey, let us know. If there is a certain method you think you would like to try, let us know. Well - another quick sneak on from work here. I was just talking to my friend a little bit ago. There was alcohol involved. :upset: The families are devestated. Her nephew was living in Texas with his aunt & uncle (long story but wasn't doing great here so this was to help him finish school, etc). His Mother is completely heartbroken (blaming herself, of course) - she can't even see him or hold him to say goodbye. It was a horrific accident so that he isn't in a condition for her to see him. That is making it all harder on her that she can't see him. Anyway, I am once again thanking God that Casey didn't kill himself or anyone else when he got his DUI. The service is on Saturday and Scott and I will be going. My heart is just breaking for the families.

Thanks, Nora, and just being for your friend later on will be very important, when the initial shock wears off. It is the greatest nightmare for parents, and then when the kids get grown, they have children for us to worry about. I just pray none of us outlive our blessings.

Hi, ladies. My heart is breaking for you, Nora and for the families of those poor boys. Ruby...you are so right....I don't think we, especially as mothers, ever stop worrying about our kids and grandkids! Heck, my oldest son is 28 and I worry about him constantly, then there's Jeremy who is 17...and now Addison......puts knots in my stomach.

Ruby...I love the pictures of your grandkids...I just think the difference in size between the 2 boys is amazing for their ages....thank the good Lord that your Ry was blessed by your daughter & son-in-law....

Right, Grate. I get chills just thinking about where Ry'd be now, since he seemed to be very damaged when Tip got him. Now, he excels in school, and is about the most loving child ever. I have uncles around 6'7, 6'8, Daddy was 6'4, and Hub's dad is 6'4 so who knows how tall Jack'll be. He's soon gonna tower over his sister!
