Hallo everyone - gosh - VERY long day - daughter had razor blade in her tyre - they are working on her apartment building and builders must have dropped one - then her friend was found dead in bed this morning - later found out she had died of a heroin overdose - daughter didn't even know she did drugs - also daughter tripped and sprained ankle. At work, a really nice (!!!) parent whose child had diarrhea in the childrens section didn't tell us, and LEFT it all over the CARPET for us to find!!!!! We had to tape off the section, throw away a chair (none of us was going to to touch it and it would be a health hazard to try to clean it), and get a company in immediately to clean the carpet, which meant I had to stay late to accomodate them. I can't believe a parent would not TELL us - they just left!!!!!!!!! I am so totally gobsmacked - what are people coming to these days??????? We have no idea what their child touched - what it might have had - I mean the whole scenario is just awful. I feel quite drained. Don't yell at me but I am having a Guinness. Just one. I never said I was AF. Oh gosh, I am wiped. And to put the cherry on top, I don't have my usual Sunday off tomorrow - I am working. next day off is Tuesday. I always phone my mum on a sunday so can't call her either. sorry - I am just talking out loud. One way and another it has been a VERY LONG WEEK.

Jan - thank you my Flower for offering to B**ch slap folk at work, but it really isn't necessary!! LOL - I love you anyway. It will all work out - and it was supposed to be kept quiet!! Only a few folk knew!! I just was really upset, but am okay now. Glad that Clay is okay. I am hoping to get into my garden on tuesday - the weather is supposed to be nice and I need to start doing autumn clear up - I want to get one of my raised beds set up and see how it is going to be.

Gina - often, when one doesn't feel like smiling but puts on a smile, it does make you feel different - so doing what you are doing is good. Glad that your youngest made it to her final destination - such a worry when they are going to such a scary place!! I totally understand.

Rog - I WANT AVOCADOES. I need to live nearer. I LOVE them !!!! It pains me to hear that you have so many............

Ruby - gosh - SO MUCH STUFF. Actually, I wouldn't know what to do with it. I don't collect anything. I don't care for knick-knacks (I hate to dust), and I have very little 'stuff' around. So I am glad it is you and not me!!

It is gone 11.30, I am tired and just about talked out. I have to be up early - working at 8.00, up at 6.00

Hi all
Up early and might go on picnic if its not too hot today. Been busy at work and been working out at the Y. I am really enjoying it and hope I start losing some weight but still eating out like crazy during the week cuz we are always in a hurry. Washing machine broke down but my boss told me how to fix it and got it going again. I too have tubs full of stuff Rubes, and trying to get rid of it. We just live in a little 12 wide trailer and every nook and cranny is full. The whole uner the kitchen table houses my drumset and under my bed is all the hardware. My old Suburben is full of containers of xmas stuff, halloween, camping gear. Talked my landlord into letting me use the shed from the rental next door,since it isnt rented out so that is helpful. But will have to get my own shed soon..Well gotta let the chickens out...b

Hi everyone,

It is raining again here, it has been and is supposed to continue all next week,ugh. Sorry Rog, nothing personal about Harlem, it is just that I am not familiar with the area and wasn't sure if it was a station or a platform so I would worry less with her going to grand central(very big and very busy). She is very young looking, a little immature and it was dark when she left. Her girlfriends mom may be driving to the college today so hopefully she will and my little one can ride home with her. Well off to start my day. :hG

Sun, that's just NASSTTTYYY!!! I agree, WTF is WRONG with people?? If I, or any of the kids, made a mess, I always did my best to clean up. And today with so much crap out there, I'd be dressed in a HazMat suit. Sorry you're having to work again after your bad week, but glad you're feeling a little better about it all.
G, I understand completely about your daughter. Mine looked like Barbie, and was oblivious to the attention she caused herself. Scared me silly.

I just had an unpleasant encounter with someone at the little store nearby. His pants were belted under his ass, hat on sideways, and he was cursing a blue streak at the poor clerk over a $1. Very young girl behind him looked scared, clerk looked scared, I just got madder. Hubs was in the truck, and a man came up behind me, sort of moved closer to the screamer. He turned, still cursing at everyone and I finally said 'Take your filthy mouth and get on out of here!' For some reason, at that, he took off out the door and left, never even looked at me. You all know I hate bullies, but my mouth does tend to overload. He was just disgusting. I didn't know till I walked out a gang of Hubs friends were standing around talking to him, and an off-duty police officer had walked up. He just said, 'Ma'am, he wasn't about to cause you any trouble.' Unfortunately, I'd have done the same thing if it was me and the clerk! (sigh) Me and my mouth. Always writing checks my butt can't cash.
Closets, rooms, sheds partially emptied, meeting a prospective tenant, then taking a blow torch to this house. Have a good one, all. I'll talk to Vick and Grate a little later.

Fen, so glad to see you back! Did you have a nice weekend? It is not too late for you and Mrs. Fen to come to the cabin with us! Roger and Swannie, so sorry you got wind and rain, it is absolutely beautiful here! Perfect fall day! Ruby, I can't believe how fast you went through the house. I'm so glad you won't be bogged down with that to do next week. I guess you being free of things to do is too much to hope for, but hopefully when we get to the cabin, you can totally relax! I'm counting down the days! I talked to Kelly yesterday and she is excited, too! We had an exciting time at Sunday School and Church this morning. I don't know if any of you have seen "Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames", but it is awesome and our Church is running it tonight-Wed night. I know alot of people will get saved! Sharla got saved watching it. My life is pretty perfect right now. I love not being chained to a cigerette! I still can't believe how easy it was. I think once you make up your mind to do something, you can break ANY addiction, if you want to bad enough! I am so happy Paul no longer drinks. Wed. will be our one month anniversary of no alcohol/no cigerettes! I can't imagine being any happier! I love you all and hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! Love, Vicki

Just thinking

Hi all,

Well my daughter is getting a ride home so that takes away the train anxiety. While I have been alone this last day and a half I have been reflecting over the past 15 years and who I was and who I am now. I must say that AL has caused just about every problem I have had and has created some serious character flaws that has molded the person that I am now,which is someone I don't even recognize and someone that I do not like. I know I have had these passing thoughts before but I have actually felt the realization over the last couple of days. Anyway, I just wanted to share that, I am hoping that this now felt realization will keep me away from drinking forever. Bfn G
