Good morning, my precious friends and family!! Yesterday it stormed all day and I did not have internet! I can't believe I can read and post on this tiny phone! All of you who are sick, please rest and get better! I am almost to the New Orleans airport, even though my plane doesn't leave for 2 and a half hours! I woke up at 5:00 all excited and ready to go. Will be so happy to leave all the insanity that is my day-to-day life behind for a few days!! MIL has called or hollered at me for a week about when I was leaving so she could start cooking for Hubs. Called bright and early this AM, then proceeded to tell me how Calvin (3rd husband of some very old friend of hers with Alzeihmers) had shot his leg off accidentally yesterday, after he went to the bank and withdrew his life savings and gave most away before he got home. Believe it or not, I'm not related to that bunch!! Then she told me about the $150,000 car that floated down the river and got stuck in a nearby bridge. ((sigh)) Can't make this up! Lot's of other crazy things she told me, but I think I drifted off somewhere in there.
Finishing up here, plan to get to the cabin and go to bed! No calls, no renters, no family, just dear friends coming in a couple of days, so all is good.
T, so happy again about the work. I hope this really starts the ball rolling for you and things only get better. MB, sorry about the Sunday's hon. I know how you enjoy your days at the lake house and lunches at MIL's. You must be very important to that place now.
Mish, I've missed you! Sorry about the post - I hate when that happens.

Hill, Biz, Eff, Abi, Swannie, ya'll pipe up and keep this going while the 2 chatterboxes are away with Kelly. Loading the last in the car, and Sadie is going to be furious when I leave her, but she is NOT conducive to peace and quiet. As long as I don't leave Tink alone too much she's pretty quiet, but Sadie gets beside herself when company comes. TMB looks awful because she had a bit of her summer itch, but thanks to RC, NOTHING like we normally endure, and her hair is coming back in the butt spot nicely. I'm eternally grateful, RC, and so is TMB.

Rubes-- your description of what your MIL said made my day-- I know folks cannot believe it but those types of stories happen regularly around here! Last week on our way back to Nashville though I felt like crap I got a huge laugh out of the Cooter museum-- and before anyone thinks I am referring to a sexual part-- they have a whole museum dedicated to Cooter the mechanic on the Dukes of Hazard in TN-- in fact-- 2 branches of this museum! So if you are feeling down just think on that a minute.

I just go the most incredible bit of luck today-- my son's karate class which hubs also could not cover was cancelled. Then hubs said he had an appt nearby and would just get Luke and come home and they would be quiet (his words). So now I get to sleep some more and possibly I will get well sooner.

Great weather for a mountain trip-- do you all have a fire pit up there? We need to talk about the area Rubes-- today when hubs was detailing his retirement goals with the finance guy he added a mountain cabin to what we have which shocked me-- but with foreclosures it might be the time to stretch to do it now instead of later. And it is really close to us. I imagine it would have helped my illness and headahces in the past weeks.

Mama Bear-- thanks for saying you would get my sweet child-- if I learn to post a pic (anyone here know how?) I will post his pic-- how could anyone be so self centered? And to think I never take it out on their kids since I knwo that is not right-- they certainly are not the nicest. Tomorrow I am supposed to take 3 of them to a activity place while they are out of school for a teacher day. Funny how their working is acceptable as an excise but my past cancer and now pneumonia is not-- what abunch of psychos. And by the way,Mama, as an FSU fan-- ou Crimson Tide will try to put the Gators away Saturday.

Hey all Message from Vick they made it to Atl and out to dinner. I'm so happy to be here, but hadTay load some of my stuff I had ready yest and she sat a big box on the front porch instead of in the car! Had my gifts for the girls in it too. :argh: supposed to be in low 40's Sat night. ATL we have a chimenea and a fire pit, already thought about a fire one night. Look into Skylake for a cabin. So beautiful and lots of amenities plus just across the valley from me. Got my energy back now I'm here. Yay!
