I think it may be a trip to your medical personage type person, Tippers.

Aww Mrs A, what's wrong hun. You haven't been yourself for a while now.'Bout time you showed up JC. What kind of cake did you make?

I've perked up a bit. Maybe the fight I just had with the youngest cub helped my blood circulation

Hang in there, Mrs. A :l
Oh dear, what has younger cub done to make you feel better? Well in an unintentional way...

      hey everybody

gonna start by saying sorry for your loss Zen, hope you're ok (at least as much as you can be). sending hugs your way anon, and i think the tohers could be right about seeing your doctor tips. Well done to Panno on the fags, I keep trying but I'm not very good at it xD

First day was kind of what I expected - paper work and pointless formalities (including a half hour talkon what one does with a library...) but have foundto my great relief that excluding the cost of the trip to amsterdam all costs are goign to be paid for me, so I have free bus travel, ?30 a week ema and no fees - thank god! havign trouble getting my body clock set to be asleep for 11 and up at 6.30 - managed to go to bed at 12.30, wake up at 5 for nearly an hour then sleep a little longer. been exhausted all day, can't wait to go to bed tonight. no uni tomorrow as the other group have their induction day but thinking of getting up at aroudn the same time anyway to try and get myself into the right routine

Inchy, glad your first day went well and good news about the free bus and allowance and no fees. That is good news indeed. Don't worry about the sleeping - you'll get it sorted out soon enough. Good idea about going to bed early and getting up early. Your body will adjust even sooner.

That's a lovely thing your kids said to you Mrs. A. Would have had me in tears - happy ones that is.:l

I didn't make one in the end. We're going up on Thursday for the daughter's birthday so I'll make a wee birthday cake to take then.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Of course they do and how sweet that they tell Mrs. A how they feel about her.

Troopers, am off to walk the dogger and then to plead with the Sleep Fairy.

              Wishing you all...

Your work sounds really interesting JC. I imagine it will be very rewarding but quite tough. Have you had much feedback on what it's like working with the people? I know they will just love you. :h

The full timers have been there over 5 years so looks as if they really enjoy their jobs. There isn't a high turnover of staff. One of the line managers does acupuncture as a treatment, which she trained for through them. There's a lot of advisors drop in for specialist things like housing benefits.

The part-timers look forward to going in. How many people can say that about any job?

From the times I've sort of just followed someone around, everyone does a bit of everything from making the coffee to overseeing group meetings.

That is a great sign that there is no high turnover. Really sounds wonderful.
Well, I'm about to curl up with my book. Dead Lagoon-a mystery set in Venice. That's about as close to Venice, Venise, Venetia that I'll be getting for quite a while.:H
The book is really good though. And I'm realllly tired after today. Both kids are actually in bed already and pug dog has been walked so I can relax. Bliss.
Nighters everyone xxx See you in the morning (early)
