Oh dear. That's all I have to say about this story I bumped into in The Times.
"Student got drunk and drowned after winning ?sober? bet"
A law student who made a bet to stay sober for a month got drunk and drowned after winning his wager, an inquest heard yesterday.
Niall Pawsey, 20, celebrated with beer, lager and sambuca before diving into the Thames and attempting to swim to the other side....
??Niall pretty much went ?watch this? and started taking his clothes off and chucking them everywhere then dived head first into the river.
??We thought he had got over to the other side. We did not realise he had gone under until everyone started panicking on our side of the bank.??
He disappeared around 5.30pm on April 28 this year and despite searches his body was not found until three days later.
