Morning!

It's distinctly unpleasant outside at the moment - cold, wet, windy and dark. Something to do with the tail end of hurricane Katia, apparently. This is definitely one of those days when I would want to sit on the sofa with a duvet in front of the telly and think about how nice it is to be all wrapped up and warm when it's so horrible outside. Or maybe have a nice long sleep (haven't been to bed yet). Unfortunately I have to go out for a couple of hours this morning, but then the rest of the day is mine.

Sounds good! I'm thinking about an autumn break around the Lake District. I found a lovely hotel called Glenburn Hotel (they accept dogs!) in Windmere. Do any of you know this area? And is it easy to travel with dogs in the UK? Like in the train for example?
JC-aren't you going to Carlisle soon for Christmas shopping ?
