          6 MONTHS FOR RED67

Thanks all! I never thought I could do it. When I first quit I, I didn't know how I was going to make it to Easter. Now I am at six months and I have almost no thoughts of drinking. When I do get the occasional thought I shut it down immediately. This website and all of you have been a godsend. I spent so much money on counseling and books and I was hoping for so many years that something would click and I would stop the madness. Well something finally did in March and I was FINALLY done. I even had alcohol in the house for two days after I quit and didn't even consider drinking it. My nephew came over and I gave it to him. I knew I needed it out of the house. Since then life has been awesome. No more being a slave to alcohol. No more dreading going past the liqour store....cause back then I could not pass it without stopping. No more hangover or headaches. No more guilt. No more depression.

          Thank you all.........
AL free since March 17th 2011...loving this life. No drinking no matter what.

Hi my name is Lori and i am so happy to be here.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
