I'm actually an old Gordon Lightfoot fan from back when I used to play guitar, so I love Carefree Highway. I didn't like Celine Dion when she first became famous in the US, but then I found some of her earlier stuff in French, and loved it!

For those who aren't aware, I want to introduce you to the book, Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs, which will give us all a lot of pleasure. I'm sure that Kanga would have enjoyed it. If I recall, "MacArthur Park" won first place, and Gary Pucket and the Union Gap were prominently featured. I think that second place went to "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, I've got Love in My Tummy" (ugghh!) by the Ohio Express. There are many very bad songs (some of which I really like:H ) mentioned in the book. The book is a riot, but it's 7:30 in the morning, so I can't do it justice.

PS: I used to love MacArthur Park. LOL

Hey Fan...I remember the mysterious scream Wow...thought that was a neighborhood rumor!!! But I believe it was on the Roller Coaster song.
These are great. Songs I like to sing out loud when alone or in a car:
(I beg your pardon) I never Promised you a Rose Garden (the version by KD lange is soooo cool)
I Felt the Earth Move - Carole King
An me too the song All I want for Christmas
......I've loved it since Love Actually
Another Saturday Night (and I ain't got nobody...I got some money cause I just got paid lalalala)
My sister and a friend and I performed this song at a sleepover one night ...called ourselves the Triangles (cause two stood on the bed and one on the floor in the middle of the other two) and we sang this song approx one million times.
Every time I hear it it just makes me smile!
        I love this...

Yes, it is the song "Rollercoaster" that you hear a woman being murdered as the song is recorded!

My 14 year old daughter has now heard this rumor from someone and she plays that song just to hear the scream. (yes, she is a little twisted)

I had to break the news to her that no one was really murdered during the recording of the song. This news from me really burst her bubble, because she loves scary stuff and freaking herself out. She's moved on to listening to songs backwards to hear the satanic messages:wow:

She really is a good kid, really

Oh God - there are several but Copacabanna by the dreaded Barry Manilow comes to mind. My cousins and I used sing it as we washed the dishes after dinner. I AM NOT A FAN-I-LOW.

I am a fanilow and I take offense at your implying there is something wrong with "us". Okay, I am embarrased about that.

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden just made me LOL!! I love that song too. Oh and who can forget, "Delta Dawn, what's that flower you got on?" Love it!!!
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me
