A Christmas Thread in Honor of Kanga

Okay men, this question is for you (and women too).....don't know if you remember the "Is it okay for a bloke to like sheila music" thread that Kanga started this summer. (He liked India Arie and wanted to know if he should be embarassed about it). I got thinking about him and that thread tonight when I bought my husband the Mariah Carey Christmas CD because he loves her song, "All I Want For Christmas" and he asked me if he should embarassed that I bought that for him. We have now listened to that CD and that particular song about 50 times tonight.

So the question is....what do you like music-wise (either artist or song) that you would normally be embarassed to admit? C'mon. Be Honest.

I will start. I love the song "After the Lovin'" by Engelbert Humperdink (my face is beet red just typing that stupid name and admitting that).........

    God Bless the Kanga!!!
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me

But let me clarify. I like that song because of really funny memories with my parents who have since passed away. My face is still red for admitting this in public!

Okay........I don't ever want anyone to hear what I listen to on my MP3, especially my children!

For the fun of it I will leak this information to you and only you........

Gold Digger (kanya west and jamie fox) :H

My kids would flip out if they knew I liked that song!:wow:

Those are pretty good, but I think mine is the most embarassing! Cajun, are you male? The idea of man loving that song and dancing around the house when it comes on the radio made me laugh out loud. And Fan, yours just show your sensitive, albeit very feminine, side.

                    Rachele, you are so hip.

Macks, I do not think I know that song but if it made you cringe to admit it I am going to hunt it down so I have more ammo for teasing you.....

Favorite Helen Reddy song that makes me cry? "It's All So Peaceful Now."

Thanks Lush....so good to be able to relieve myself of a burden that has been troubling me for many a year...I WILL stand up and say

Colours of the wind...from the Pocahontas Disney film....and Under the sea from the little mermaid

My daughter had the sing a long disney songs on tape when she was little, and when no one was around, I would fast forward to these tracks (the tape has words too,,,what else do you need....naff karaoke at it's best!!) and belt them out...yes, with heartfelt arm movements as well....... and sometimes .....gosh this is hard to admit.............CLOSED EYES!!!!!
                      God help me...

                        My kids and I love:
It's Raining Men by The Weather Girls
                        and
                        Fat Bottom Girls by Queen

I do get a bit disturbed hearing my 9 year old son singing "It's Raining Men"

MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet green icing flowing down
Someone left a cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
                            Oh noooooooooooo!

How about Gary Puckett and the Union Gap? Young Girl, Get Out of My Mind... Or Tommy James and the Shondells? My mom will still say to me, you used to play Crimson and Clover, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....
