    Well, if you're busy but your housework isn't done, nor the decorating or baking then I assume it's your business that's keeping you busy. If so, that is good news. Especially with things in a slump like they are.

      Oh It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood. Mild temperatures again today. Not being particularly productive. Must buy new drill bit, as keep stripping the screws. Other than that nothing to report.

        Yep, Stirls, it's work that's keeping me busy and that is a good thing, seeing that I make my money over the winter and summer is dead as a door nail. Mind you, I'm not complaining... I like my free time to play in the dirt (garden) and with the horsies

        Wally, dear, where exactly are you? It went from VERY mild this morning (I stripped! Well, took off my coat.. that counts, doesn't it?) to -13C in a matter of hours. Yikes.

        Anywho.. I took some time out tonight to find my kitchen counter, do a general quick clean up, and start some decorating. Figured it was time... with Christmas a week away :H

        And now, I'm off to the shop to work on some shelves. Or what will be shelves when I'm done Night night!!!!
        Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?

          Hi All
          It's still pretty mild here in Southern Ontari ari ari o.
          I'm still trying to get this floor down. I am apparently a VERY slow learner.
          Just discovered that using a different size drill bit to predrill for the screws makes a BIG difference. Just waiting for my back and hands to relax a bit and then back at it.
          Hm, Maybe a cup of tea would help.

            No Hola's here either Canuckers. Just a pleasant g'day to yaw'll.

            Heya GG--Boris is the man! Handsome and useful! Where can I get one?? hmmm
            And my house is a shambles too. I'm getting accustomed to it. May not even bring the tree up this year. I will be spending an overnight at my daughter's new house on the 27th though. Warms my heart. And you have grandbabies to spoil. WooHoo!

            Stirly Girly, I am finally feeling better, thanks for asking. I would love to be transported Greece for the duration of the winter. That is all.:l

            Wally, a girl with a drill. I'm impressed! Hope your back is holding out and the job is going more smoothly.

            My one Christmas task is to make truffles this year. An undertaking I've never attempted. If anyone has a simple (haha) recipe using whipping cream and chocolate, I all ears and grateful if you will share.

              Hey Ho-ho-ho Canucklings!

              Dammit, there's white crap all over. Enough even to have to put the truck in 4wheel drive. Geeez. Anywho.. got started on some baking, step son and I went and cut tree this afternoon (not decorated yet, though), put in some time at the shop, and that is/was my day. I'm pooped. Not sure why, doesn't really look like I've accomplished much of anything today. Ah well.

              Wally, what kinda floor are ya laying?
              RC, glad yer on the mend. And yeah, Mr. Wonderful came in the night Boris started earning his keep, in his best (oh gawd, help me) 'gansta rappa' impression, tootin' something about Boris being 'da bomb, da man' and such things. *sigh* Poor guy got locked outta the barn last night, I think (the kitty, not the Mr.) Mind you, there's a manger with lots of hay in the horse trailer... he can always crawl in there.

              And that, my friends is all from here. Oh.. did anyone see the movie 'Scoop'? (Woody Allen, prolly pretty old) I liked it! We watched that last night. Alright, I'm outta here.

                        Curious minds eh?:H Not sure I can satisfy them.:H

                        He is a 10 month old St Bernard. I think the confusion lies with his lack of sloppy, drooly gross jowls. Apparently there are two breeds. Nice touch if you ask me. He is gorgeous.

                        I think the idea of the headband is that he is a present. Not sure. I was just impressed that he did not shake the thing off and eat it!:H
