    Happy first day of 2012, Canuckleheads & Co. :l

    I was peeved when I got home last night (this morning)... before I went to bed I turned on the confuser (so borrowed that from Wally) to fill in my big fat ZERO in the drink tracker. But it had already changed to January and I couldn't :upset: Ah well. Tea and Juice it was for me last night

    And no hangover, no regrets this morning Loving it! Anyways, I'm hearing my coffee pot do its pathetic final gurgle which signals CAWWWWFEEEEEEEE! Gotta dash!

      Sunny Girl your big fat zero is recorded in history in our special thread! Good for you!
      I snoozed in and out and happened to be awake at the final minute of 2011. Going to be a lazy day doing much of the same.
      I know I need to do some serious AF time. While this year has been more in control than out, I've proved that the off switch malfunctions still. There I've said it and it is hard to admit but I will be 52 in exactly 2 weeks and it's time to face myself. Looking forward to another year with friends on MWO and truly living!

        New to this thread - in rainy Southern Ontario

        Hi fellow Canucks! and Happy New Year. I was in bed by 9:30 last night hopped up on GABA, Naltrexone, L-Glut and 5HTP!!! Woopppppiiiiiiieeeee What a party animal.

        Hope to join in this year. Already jumped into the AF January thread. I'm hopeful.

              Welcome MWOlady, looking forward to getting to know you in the year ahead. I am also in rainy southern Ontario.
              Slept in WAAAY too late today. Woke up with a groggy head from too much sleep (who knew there was such a thing).
              Started New Year by putting two additional magnetic latches on the pantry door in an effort (probably futile) of shutting down the self serve line to the critters.
              Wedgie (the orange cat in avatar) celebrated New Year by bringing home a mouse. Good Kitty... now drop it!

                  Welcome MWO lady, Bienvenu Believer, and hello and Happy New Year to Froglet and Mario!
                  Btw, it's rainy in Northern Ontario, too. Really kind of an icky damp, should-be-snuggled-up-in-bed-with-a-movie sorta day. But, Mr. Wonderful and I put in a full day at the barn instead (well, half a day, considering we slept sinfully long). 2 out of 3 horse stall floors DONE! Whoohoooo!

                  And now... it's nap time! Oh yes. Deservedly so. Oh, btw.. where's the stirly one? Come out, Orchid tart! Happy New Year to ya! Oh.. and the scottish bint, too!t?

                    Hi Canucks. A bit of wine last night and I'm paying for it this am with a headache. Course it could be the weather - I am affected by it and get migraines - bad year this year with such lousy weather. But hey I drank and that's why I feel headachy - can't blame anything else. But starting over today. I'm near the Falls. Hi Montreal! my old home town!!

                      Hey MWOlady, hope you feel better as the day wears on.
                      I am in Hamilton, Ontario. Howdy neighbour.
                      I have been procrastinating and must get butt in gear. Today I am going to drywall, I am desperate to get back in my bedroom.
                      Having said same, have spent one hour online so far today and it's only 10:08. MUST cut back on online time. Not MWO of course.

                          Well, I'm definitely staying outta the garden today! (Seeing that there's a foot of new snow and again, I did not authorize that!)

                          Another stall floor almost done; we just came in and had a bowl of soup 'cause we was half froze. I'm sending Mr. Wonderful back out on his own to finish up and I'll tackle what's left of the Christmas tree.

                          Wally, dear, what on earth ARE you doing? This is beyond a bit of redecorating, ain't it? :eeks:
                          RC, you never told how your visit on the 27th went? Not that I'm being nosey or anything...:blush:
                          Lady, I hope you feel better by now (late afternoon here) - are you planning on being AF or is moderation your goal? Oh, that reminds me... RC, I'm very much in the same boat as what you've said yesterday... have been way more in control than out of but still sporting a very dysfunctional off-switch. Hence, it's AF for me. I'm really coming to embrace it... life is just so much easier without the constant back and forth.

                            Happy new year to everyone, fellow Canadians and around the world! If we are here, it is likely because we don't want to drink and together we can do it. I love being able to say that "we", I find it very comforting to know I am not alone in this.

                            I like this thread, makes me want to get a Timmy's coffee!

                                Cold here too at about -10. Boy it was freezing loading my groceries into the trunk in the very windy parking lot this morning - I think that's the worst....not as much fun as actually planning to go for a walk in the cold. I had no mitts, no hat, coat half zipped - why? Because I'm a .....fool!!! Next time DH can come with me and haul the stuff!!!!!

                                Anyway the sun is out! Major bonus. No drinking tonight, MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR BONUS!!!!
