Thanks GG. I'll want to bring both of them home! Not sure if I can deal with puppy energy though. It will be nice to come home to someone happy to see me at the end of the day and they need a good home.

I like Cooper. Beautiful face!!!! I am partial to shepherds.
Of course you can't really see Mia's face in the picture. She sure doesn't look like she has Rottie colouring. Nice looking though.
New doggies are soooo much fun!!!Wally22:confusedmonkey::confusedmonkey::confusedmo nkey:

I got 10 minutes from town driving 60km/hour and turned around. To make the trip would have been as insane as driving drunk. Freezing rain, ice pellets, sleet, rain, the whole shebang. I agree Cooper's eye are highly intelligent and alert and he has the innocence of youth. Mia is a gorgeous girl too though. Wally if you click on Mia's pic to enlarge then click on that, there should be a series of pics of her.Psalms 119:45

Hey, Wally, better than the Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald that I get stuck in my brain periodically.
All this talk of doggies makes me want a puppy again. Our Belle is just such a wonderful dog. She NEVER barks! Right from the day I went to the pound - the day after we had to put our beloved Asta down - and found this 18 mo old sweetie just begging me to take her home. She has Rottie colouring, looks a little like a small Shepherd - just so sweet and very submissive. I just have to point at her and she jumps off the couch and settles on the floor. Belle is short for Belka which is the name of the first Russian dog in space - our last name is Russian (as is the Mr.)
Anyway, I've been very down this afternoon. Thinking about my beloved Big Brother who died last March - he suffered from alcoholism terribly. I am not one who cries much. I get depressed sometimes and have to be careful because I feel if I start to cry I will never stop - so don't let myself go....anyway I felt today that I wanted to just curl up and die.....but drinking is not an option - I remembered how I would feel the next day if I drowned my sorrows!!!!! Oh the headache!! Oh the stomach!!!! Oh the remorse!! Oh the shame!! :upset::upset::upset:So did not do it :H:H
I know tomorrow the sun MAY shine! I will feel better, I will be SOBER still, and all will be well, dear brother will be in a better place and no longer in pain. Have a good night dear people. If everyone had a dog there would be peace in the world!!!!:h:Ask yourselves, would you rather be a non drinker with an occasional desire to drink or a drinker with a constant desire to stop doing it?

Your welcome
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big lake they called "Gitche Gumee."
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
when the skies of November turn gloomy.
With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more
than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty,
that good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
when the "Gales of November" came early.
The ship was the pride of the American side
coming back from some mill in Wisconsin.
As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most
with a crew and good captain well seasoned,
concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms
when they left fully loaded for Cleveland.
And later that night when the ship's bell rang,
could it be the north wind they'd been feelin'?
The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound
and a wave broke over the railing.
And ev'ry man knew, as the captain did too
'twas the witch of November come stealin'.
The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
when the Gales of November came slashin'.
When afternoon came it was freezin' rain
in the face of a hurricane west wind.
When suppertime came the old cook came on deck sayin'.
"Fellas, it's too rough t'feed ya."
At seven P.M. a main hatchway caved in; he said,
(*2010 lyric change: At 7 p.m., it grew dark, it was then he said,)
"Fellas, it's bin good t'know ya!"
The captain wired in he had water comin' in
and the good ship and crew was in peril.
And later that night when 'is lights went outta sight
came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Does any one know where the love of God goes
when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
if they'd put fifteen more miles behind 'er.
They might have split up or they might have capsized;
they may have broke deep and took water.
And all that remains is the faces and the names
of the wives and the sons and the daughters.
Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings
in the rooms of her ice-water mansion.
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams;
the islands and bays are for sportsmen.
And farther below Lake Ontario
takes in what Lake Erie can send her,
And the iron boats go as the mariners all know
with the Gales of November remembered.
In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed,
in the "Maritime Sailors' Cathedral."
The church bell chimed 'til it rang twenty-nine times
for each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big lake they call "Gitche Gumee."
"Superior," they said, "never gives up her dead
when the gales of November come early!"Wally22:confusedmonkey::confusedmonkey::confusedmo nkey:

Morning Ladies!!
MWOL- Let’s not get carried away here with my attitude towards the teens. Haha. Thank Gawd they will be gone tomorrow. Last night they were up till 1:30 giggling and I don’t know what. I had to be up at 7. 2 more days, 2 more days!
So sorry about your brother. I don’t know if this will help or not, but I watched an Oprah episode where Dr. Phil told a woman that she should celebrate the life of the one she lost. She shouldn’t think about the day of the death, but rather all the great memories they had had together. It helps me a lot when I miss my mom who died 12 years ago. Good for you for not drinking. Tomorrow will be a better day! Sending you hugs!
RC- I want another puppy now! haha. I couldn’t see Cooper, the ad is gone. I hope he is still there. Mia looks adorable too. My lil one doesn’t like other dogs…very territorial she is. Good for you for turning around! That sounds like AWFUL weather. Glad you made it home safe. I went to school in the ‘Brough. Trent U. I absolutely loved that little town!
GG- glad you are feeling better. How is Atlas doing? Any idea why he is swollen?
Wally- Hiya! How are the rennos coming? Where are the pics?????
Well I am exhausted and my cawfee just isn’t cutting it. I think I’ll have a lie down and cuddle with Champ (my lil one). Have a great night ladies!"When you know better, you do better"

Sorry, I shouldn't laugh.. but... :H GAWD, I'm glad I haven't got any teens anymore!
Very sorry about your mom, my mom died a year ago last Sunday. (I kinda blamed that for my sleepless night).
Same for you, Lady. :l I'll see if I can go track down Nelz.. you are deserving of a star!
RC.. as said through other medium... very glad you put safety before poochhood (new word).
Wally, you'se a wicked one! But I'll raise you:
In eighteen-fourteen we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississipp'
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans
We fired our guns and the British kept a comin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began to runnin'
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
We looked down the river and we seed the British come
And there must've been a hundred of 'em beatin' on the drum
They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring
We stood beside our cotton bales, didn't say a thing
We fired . . .
Old Hickory said we could take 'em by surprise
If we didn't fire muskets till we looked 'em in the eye
We held our fire till we seed their faces well
Then we opened up our squirrel guns and really gave 'em well
Well, we fired . . .
Yeah they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'em
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
We fired our cannon till the barrel melted down
So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round
We filled his head with cannonballs and powdered his behind
And when we touched the powder off the 'gator lost his mind
We fired . . .
They ran . . .
Sweet dreams!Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?

GG- Loved the 2x4 joke. I seriously wish I had had one handy. Had to laugh though. These girls could definitely do better than me on a physics test, but don't know how crack an egg, put peanut butter on their own bread or take a shower apparently. It's making me wonder if I ever want to be a mom.
AND.....congrats on triple digits!!!!!!!! That's awesome! I toast my lemon water to you this evening!
Have a great day all!"When you know better, you do better"
