    The Canucks Co

Hey Ho, fellow Canuckittles (that's Skittles in Canadian)!

Yes, :l for Stirly! I read on the Army thread that Mr. Stirly is continuing to improve! Great to hear!

Well, I don't think the horses will be in the barn tonight.. just not QUITE there yet. I'm heading out there in a few minutes. And, since I haven't bored you with barn pictures in a while.. here's what it looks like as of this afternoon:

Dutch doors are in place but no latches on yet, and the Typar is still up on the inside. That's what I'll be tearing down shortly Tomorrow may well be the 'Grand Entrance'! Considering, that this barn building business has been going on for almost 2 years... it's a big deal!

Tally-ho! Will check back in later!

      Canuckittles! Love it GG!

Barn looks great, keep posting pictures... got my fingers crossed that the horses will come in.

Read on CBC.ca news today that across Canada its turning to one of mildest winters ever... sending that mildness to all of you surrounded by snow/ice and frost ;-) Sending positive thoughts to hold up your roof RC.

So glad I had yoga tonight and had signed up for 2 classes a week. It is such a blessing to have something to do instead of heading to the cold beer and wine store... but I thought about it for a few seconds after work. Plus, the bonus is that once I've worked out I am so much less likely to pile in the calories. Oh I still do, but I'm stressing less about it (and eating more fruit and veggies) Detox baby!

GG - that barn is absolutely superb. Can't wait for the Grand Opening! And the cat looks most at home.

Hello Froglet.. come on in and have a cup of tea!

That's what I'm having... just came in from the barn. Phew. I've torn down all the barricades that held the Typar inside and Mr. Wonderful got the first door working. Closing, locking, etc. However.. ahem... I had to point out that Trouble will open that latch in 0.3 seconds flat. Gonna have to rig something up to go over it in his stall. Unfortunately, I've got one who shimmies under fences and one who considers any sort of latch/lock an invitation to demonstrate and improve upon his finesse.

Boris, keeper of the barn, is indeed right at home He's a pain in the ass though, if you're trying to get stuff done. As far as he's concerned, God gave us 2 hands and we ought to use them to pet him. Shelby, the wonder pooch is also supervising in the picture.

Today.. YOGA! Isn't that where you bend yourself into pretzel like positions? Or is that Pilates? I'm happy you enjoy it and it enables you to sneak Skittles with less guilt :H

RC.. I've been invited to the Algonquin ride but I'm not sure we're ready for that. We'll see how our summer goes this year Trouble would be the one who'd be fabulous to take but I think it would be too much for him. After all, he is an older gentleman.

Lady, I hope your Topa arrives pronto. How long do you plan on taking it for?

Ok, folksies.. almost time for beddy-bye. Night night!!! Sweet dreams!

Well good for me, yaw'll, today is one calendar month AF - little me!! can't believe it, and yet you know it seems like nothing besides some of you...but hell - I'll take it. It has almost been effortless. Mostly thanks to this board and all the terrific support - and the Topa-Coma!!

No Topa in sight, and I think I will need to take it once it arrives. I ordered 120 pills - and that cost darned near $200 once you factor in postage, and shipping from gal/pal in Tenn. Dontcha love living in Canardardar :H

Not much going on here. So glad to read all the above posts of how busy everyone is, barn raisins' etc. I'm concentrating on losing some weight, keeping up with my new :h Peter Attia, and just getting used to doing weights again after many years! Ouch!!!

Off to get my grey hairs chopped into submission. Grey day here too but all our snow has melted....I'd like to see more actually - a winter wonderland is better than drab, grey, dirt eh?

That's it for now. Thank you all so much for the support during this past month. When I first looked at this forum a few years ago, I thought - not for me.....but now that I have really looked around I can see how necessary - and how FUN it is!!!! :thanks:

Happy one calendar month anniversary, Mylady!!!

Yay! Early Spring!!! Omigosh, Wiarton Willie :H I used to live 25 minutes north of Wiarton and one year a friend and I decided to get up at some ungodly hour on Groundhog day and watch the proceedings in Wiarton. Lemme tell you, these people take their rodents seriously! Half the town wore oinkers on their noses... although they were supposed to resemble a groundhog snout, I think. They served a pretty decent pancake brekkie, though!

Hello and welcome, BetterLife! 7 days is a GREAT start and it definitely gets better from here on out.

K, folks.. time to get some work done. Be good, be well, be happy!

ggSunshine, how sweet (no pun intended) of you - how I yearn for cake - you lil dickens! how I long for cake!! but never mind, when I lose this 10 lbs I'll have some - course that will defeat the whole thing but never mind (grits teeth) Topa came in the mail from my dearest pal in Tenn. So I'm good to go for a while. I will work up to 200 per day then have to taper and go off again. But that should do me.

Thanks AGAIN for the support. You know, ladies and germs, I prayed many a long day for help with sobriety and what pops up? MWO, and free Topa from my step daughter!!! Does it get any better!!

How's everyone enjoying the day. I am full of beans. Can't settle down to do any one thing. Flitting around like bee on drugs. I want to put up the bird feeder, but every time I do one of the cats gets a bird. I have tried all over the yard. Maybe I will hang something off the roof line, when the weather gets better.
GG how are the horsies liking the barn?
MWOlady congrats on the one month, it just gets easier and easier.
RC thanks for the lesson on groundhogs. And I just thought they were for eating.

                              Hey-Ho Canucklings!
Unlike Wally here, my get up and go has got up and left. Like days ago. I'm holding the good for nuttn sleep fairy responsible.

Wally, no horsies in barn yet... tomorrow is the day! Mr. Wonderful wants to do one more thing to the doors (dunno what, they look/work fine) and I'll have to spend a little more time with roping off around the barn yet. I have total confidence in Trouble... he'll undoubtedly open the latch on his door - although maybe not the first night. In any case, I'll have to have the perimeter as secure as possible. Don't want him hitch hiking to the city or something.

Too funny, though... the boyz definitely know something's up. Every time I start puttering in /around the barn these last couple of days, they stand square in front of their gate. "We're ready... let's go!"

Since Mr. Wondernose has generously shared his cold cooties, I'm feeling kinda blah and stuffed up 'n stuff... something I hope a nice little nana nap will cure. Tally-Ho!!!
