I was freaking out in the beginning but then I figured if they posted it on YouTube then nothing bad must have happened to him. He is cute and I think they must have some degree of intelligence. Their building instinct is unbelievable. I know that just in our small part of Ontario there have been streams re-routed and new ponds made due to beaver damns. And those teeth may be yellow but they are damn strong.

Crazy about those trees in the softened earth. They must not have huge root systems and definitely would not withstand weather we have here.

Poor Beaver...he looked trapped and frightened.
Well, I won't call you that if you don't want me too. I thought of Cedar-bell in reference to "ringing" then just tacked the "e" on the end so it looked more feminine. Not much of a belle type myself TBH. Born too far up north I guess..:H:H

Very industrious critters. Took them or it two days to down a clump of three birch by my shore. They started one night--then returned 2 years later to finish the job!

                    Good Morning Ladies!!

Sorry to hear about your crappy weather so I won't mention how warm it is here in Greece today. Mind you the temps dropped a few points over the past few days and it's quite windy today. I actually had to wear a hoody when walking the dog this morning.

The hike from hell, lol.Never heard of the Grouse Grind but I have actually climbed the mountain. Well, part of it. We set out from the parking lot where the small teleferic started from way back then - was the winter of 1973-74. Don't know how much things have changed since then. There was a small "community" of wooden cabins in the larger vicinity of where the teleferic ended and my cousin's, who's cabin I was going to be staying in, was one of them. Thinking back, I really don't know why we climbed the mountain and didn't just take the frikking teleferic. He seemed to think that it would be an adventure - I told him I'd never make it, carrying my backpack and all. A joint shared between us soon found me changing my mind and I actually did manage to climb up to the cabin and really, really enjoyed it.

Yep, lots of drama on the meds thread although we did have a bit of fun highjacking Dr. A's thread last night...:H

Oh, don't get me going on payments and such. Mr. Stirly has income tax payment and an extra tax they recently tacked on and sales tax to be paid and I don't know what all by the end of the month. Then the car plates have to be renewed and we recently renewed the insurance on both of our vehicles. It seems like it's never ending.:upset:

I did the Grouse Grind in 1987 with Sea Cadets. It was part of a summer camp thing we had to do. It was absolutely murder!! No thank you. I have only hiked a couple of times since then, here at Goldstream Park. Hated it too!

I am so happy the rain has stopped here where I am on the West Coast. Nice to see the sun shining.

OK, well you fellow Canuckle-heads have a great day.

In the bottom right corner(I think) left click on the smaller quote button with the + sign. Do this for each post you want to quote and then click on the quote button and the window will open up with all your quotes.

I will not describe how to multi quote a quote--since it gives me noteworthy distinction like our Stirly.:H
