      Hiya Canucks!!

So now my image of Stirls changes yet once more... now she's back-packing up the side of a mountain smoking a spliff. I dunno Stirls... (Woulda liked to have been there wif ya!) xx

Oh, I have a zillion stories I could tell you about the two winters my sister and I worked at the Banff School of Fine Arts as waitresses in the dining rooms - student, faculty and conference ones. We were all a bunch of young kids from various parts of Canada - even as far away as Nova Scotia and there was partying every night. We lived in the staff quarters, two or three to a room. It was like college but without the studying. Lots of booze, lots of pot, lots of laughter. Really, had a hell of a good time. The second winter, I left in January and went to work on Grouse Mountain to make better money and found more party life there. Living on the mountain was incredible and what impressed me most is that the pine trees that appear to be 10 feet high in the winter are really 15 to 20 feet high but you don't realize that til the snow melts. Mind you, I'd not skied much when I was younger - just a few hills around our village. After watching people fall and bounce over the moguls while rolling and somersaulting down the slope, I swore I'd never try it again and never did. Freaked me out every time I saw it.

I am so happy the rain has stopped here where I am on the West Coast. Nice to see the sun shining.

OK, well you fellow Canuckle-heads have a great day.

ps. How does one Multi-quote??? :new: Hi AFM. Nice to see you again. Hope you're doing well. I haven't posted on your thread for some time but I do think about you and wish you all the best in your recovery.

I will not describe how to multi quote a quote--since it gives me noteworthy distinction like our Stirly.:H

btw good to see you here!
RC, you can brag all you want about your multi-quoting skills since you seem to have accomplished it perfectly. Just one wee correction to your instructions for multi-quoting. After we've clicked on all the icons of the posts that we want to quote, click on the "post reply" button and all the quotes will come up.

Love that about the blue skies being above the grey skies. So positive.

Hope you're all having a great day in spite of the weather.

Raining to beat the band--kindy windy nasty out there. Stirls, my cousin used to clean cabins/bartend at a lodge in northern SK. Couple summers I went up there to visit for a night when I was about 17/18. It was fun--lots of drunk people for sure. AFME( Accountableforme), hope you're recovering well. Sunni, how're them smoothies going? Tipper you with us?? It's getting chilly at night, so I'm sitting here on my bed with a blanket over my shoulders sipping a mug cocoa (I need a smiley face one like my avi) ...lol, I feel like a little ol granny!

I decided to never try such things as a youth either. Then went skiing on a school trip with kids at 41 and got talked into doing the "easy, safer" bunny hill. First trip down and torked my knee which left me a spectator the remainder of the outing. :H

Excellent on the smoothies Sunni. Great way to fire the metabolism and brain cells first thing. Stay outta the holes.

Had to give up the mat service today at the shop. Not a huge deal, but sad to be in this state. Good guy though, he took my brochures to deliver on his route.

Well, good morning and good day Canucks!

Mat service--a service that changes the mats up for a business. Weekly/winter and bi-weekly summer. It's not that expensive but not essential right now.

Hello fellow Canucks, hope all is well. I have been following the back and forth bantering but just wanted to thank you guys for keeping this thread alive. I have been posting with all sorts of excitement and hype about the Jason Vale book that is the MWO rage these days. But I have been enjoying our Canuck thread from a distance.

Have a good day and a groovy weekend !!

                      Morning, oh Canadians!

Hello Tippers! Do throw in your 2 cents now and then, here, too!

Well, got confirmation last night, my SIL (well, Tom's g/f) is driving up from Indiana next week to spend the anniversary of his death and Thanksgiving with us. Half shitty occasion but I'm still thrilled to bits. We've never actually 'met'. Yet, it feels as if we've known each other forever. I'm very much looking forward to it and I'm ever so glad she won't be sitting alone at home for that.

Hence, I better start some cleaning. Ack. That's what I get for playing at the barn all summer. And, with that I'll luv ya and leave ya on this very windy, wet, autumn day!

Let's make it a good one!

SunshineGG, that's exactly what I need to put my cleaning rear in gear. Visitors. I always have the family come up for Thanksgiving from Toronto so I am with you... cleaning like a maniac. I have pretty low standards but this is just what I need too. Glad you are there for your SIL. Must be hard for her.

                        Take care.
