    The Canucks Co

HOLA! Nippy but nice out there. Notting much to say. Getting ready for sales rep(actually owner of product) to visit. Very rare to see even a sales rep in this little town. Also, preparing to be a presenter of info(no public speaking for me)at a table top tomorrow after closing shop. Hope there's a good turnout.

Other than driving GG nuts I'm good. Hope yaw'll are too!

        It's her soul.

        Hello Coco! And RC!

I see a tree or something in that dark avatar. Then again, I've been known to see things.
Not much to report from here, either. It's sunny out (Hola!) but pretty brrrrr. Horses were full of themselves this morning, Trouble did the whole Arabian prancy loonie thing - fun to watch!

Having a real crap day work wise (nothing working as it should) but on the bright side: I gots me a new blender! Yay! And I had me shake, I did!

        Back to you!

                    Yep, doing just marvelous, dahhhlin!!!

Having my shake now (a bit late, it's noon already - holy!), a delicious apple cake (my grand mother's recipe) in the oven, once that is done I guess I'll venture out to the barn for a few hours, then clean up and get ready for dinner.

Dinner today is at the invite of friends who missed Thanksgiving on the account of Pierre having a motorcycle accident the Thursday before Thanksgiving. He is healing up nicely and figures he's in good enough shape to host a whole bunch of lunatics He's a chef extraordinaire (no really... I'd weigh 300lbs if I was married to him) and they host 20-30 people for lamb rosts, etc. several times a year. Fun, fun. And, my favorite riding coach will be there as well... have not seen her since she deserted us. Did I mention? She got herself a FULL TIME JOB! Training 2 year olds (horses, that is). The nerv! I told her it was most inconsiderate to accept a job like that without consulting me :H Anyhow, we had a long chat last night and apparently her and hubby are going to the dinner tonight as well.

Look at me.. I'm in fine form again! I hope you got a snack by now.

Tomorrow is a busy day as well.. finally bringing in the wood for the winter. Normally, that's done by mid October but had to take a back seat to... you guessed it... the barn. Matt (my son) and his lovely g/f are going to give us a hand. Looking forward to that, as well. I put together a care package for them as a thank-you... lots of food, cookies, and smokes. And that will be the weekend, I suppose. So much for rest and relaxation, eh?

I'm planning on declining all offers of wine - I'll pig out instead Hope yaw'll have a fabby weekend, too!!!!

So it's back to monologues then, is it? :H

Had a fabulous time at dinner and day 25 is done and in the bag Around 20 people there, about half of them horsie folk - very nice crowd. And super delish food and desserts! Thankfully, I didn't overeat so I'm just feeling pleasantly plump instead of positively stuffed :H

And that, fellow Canucks and Co., is all. Good night!!!!

Hola from north of 7 Canucks and Co.

Attempting to correct failed weather proofing work of last Sunday and domestic maintenance. No baking, I'm still recovering from the giant brownie.

Sounds like you're having a brilliant weekend Sunny. Love spending time with family and friends and clocking up the sober days.:goodjob:

Nice day to put wood up. Enjoy~~~

Thought it time I check in and catch up on the news...

Last time Mr. Wonderful was in Indianapolis he found whole blocks of upper middle class homes boarded up/deserted. Mortgages flipped and people just leave. It's quite scary.

I'm so grateful Canada hasn't been hit that hard (yet) and we live in the woods and could pretty much live off the land/barter with surrounding farmers if it ever came to that.Hundreds of buildings empty with "for rent" signs on them but that's not going to happen soon. Construction of new apartment buildings came to a screeching halt almost three years ago and now the banks won't give loans even if you want to buy an apartment. More than scary but we'll just have to do what we'll have to do to get through it.

It's good that you could be almost self-sufficient Sunny-bean, with the bartering system. Back to the days of the pioneers, I reckon. The good Doctor makes a house call and leaves with a chicken and a bag of flour.

                                Hello queen of multi posts!

So what is your take on the upcoming events, Stirls? I mean Papandreou stepping down is all fine and good but is there actually someone competent to lead a new government? And, more importantly, deal with the economical crisis? Sorry, I know you are worried but I bet you have much more insight than what we hear through the media.

RC- dahhhhlin - check your email

I had a semi-productive day today.. some work done, some barn stuff, some yard stuff.. a little bit of everything but nothing completed, it seems. Oh well.

I did take 1/2 hour out to play with Atlas in the round pen and clean him up somewhat. Of course, as soon as I cut him loose, he headed to the mud hole and had himself a good roll. Sigh.

And that's about it for me today. Feeling a bit off. PMS, me thinks. Back in better shape tomorrow Night canuckles and canucklets!
