No deary, have not had a blasted minute to spend with your stuff - sorry. BUTTTT I've started using the protein powder you sent! Was wondering why my shake tasted so different, then it clicked :H Forgot we had a flavored kind.

Awww Zennie - glad you're feeling better! Boris WAS a rascal, alright but gosh, you wouldn't know it now :H He hangs on us like a wee one on mum's skirt! He came from a neighbour barn (where my horses were boarded the last 2 winters). I actually feel bad.. I think he's a bit lonely. There are so many cats around there and he's the only one here. Well, there's Bubbles but she doesn't seem to warm up to him at all (little biatch). At least the dog gets along fine with him

Well, as you can guess from the dwindling monologues, I'm mega busy with work right now. Which is a really good thing. And I'm AF - that's also a really good thing! So I will refrain from complaining (about weather, economy, and the likes) and just count the blessings I do have

I've been blessed (truly) with three sick cats the past few years... I've been taking care of one, two or three since 2007... I'm down to one sick one (and one healthy one) now. And I'm fine thanks! xxx I had a shite week last week with beaucoups of dental work and was on heavy pain meds until Monday... but its much better now TF!Thanks Zenners, the first few days the house felt "physically" empty--like someone had moved a bunch of furniture out. She had a good life although I'm sure she had many lonely days with me working long hours. Jupiter, my kitty, is a little more vocal and wanting snuggles this week. She's a very independent girl, so it's obvious she misses Magda too.

Sorry 'bout the dental woes. I haven't seen a dentist in 4+ years. Ms. DIY, herself here. I've pushed the limits with an abscess and lived to tell the tale. I don't recommend doing this to others though. I figure I'ma gonna die sooner or later anyways and I healed. I didn't have to go back forking out money(that I don't have) over and over.

Okay sorry about that. No really. Yes. He said it's all taken care of. The return filed in 2009 that went missing was found. Yep. Rev can lost it. They even admit it. Which is rare. And I don't have to pay the $3,789.00 in penalties. But just a sec! I already paid it. I didn't have to? Oh fer cryin' ....wait a sec. What?? I have to wait six months before they reimburse me???

Honestly. Do you think they might need an old biologist in Cayman? I can cook!

Anyone else had their return swallowed by RC only to have them charge a bunch of interest then magically find it again? $&@/??

Kas, I hope you were serious about writing to your MP. I've done that on several occasions (when I was just a poor immigrant). At least, they ought to pay you back with interest. Like credit card interest.

I did write to the member from northern ontario, and ccd my mp, but my mp is kind of a wash out.

I got a late call from my accountant, and he thinks he has solved the problem but I sent the cheque yesterday, and they will take a long time to pay it back.

Sorry to be AWOL the past few days - glad to see you're still keeping the thread going.

Kaslo - good to see you. What Sunny-bean said about the cheque - put a stop payment on it. I wonder why your accountant didn't suggest it.

Things have been busy here. At work all day Thursday and Friday and spent most of the day today in the city. It was lovely in spite of the cloudy weather as it wasn't all that cold and not windy at all. Lots of people out for Christmas shopping but not that many carrying parcels. Seems the economic crisis is really starting to take it's toll. Not much we can do about it so no point in dwelling on it.
