Well Canucklings... we're not a terribly lively bunch lately, are we now?

And I don't really have a whole lot to contribute, either. I could go on into a prolonged monologue about web security, it's pitfalls, the antagonizing aftermath, and the likes... but I'd bore you to tears

I'm still grumpy and peeved off and utterly resentful over all the additional work... but on a teeny weeny, somewhat perverse masochistical level I'm enjoying the challenge, too :ranger
    So there ya go

Getting a bit cooler now - too bad, too. I was really enjoying the mild weather. Son and g/f are moving on Thursday so I'll be truckless for the day. If I end up going into town that day it'll have to be in the old Exploder. Imagine the Flintstone car and you'll be close :H I swear, one of these days someone WILL put their foot through the floor.

And with that I shall luv yas and leave yas. Time to get back to work. Oy.

      Alright Canuckleheads!!!!!

Up and at 'em here - let's get busy! Do I have to do EVERYTHING? Geeeesh.

I will just ramble on until somebody shuts me up. Oh! And I will whine like nobody's business. Here we go: I've had THE worst night sleep!!! Bizzarro dreams (actually, that's been going on for a while now), waking up every oh 45 minutes or so - just awful. The fact that I'm vertical at all is astonishing. Credit must be given to my good friend Mrs. Nabob. I'm totally pulling a Greenie here and lounging in my robe, mind you that'll have to be short lived since I'm on horse and cat feeding duty for neighbours as well. *Sigh* It's friggin cold, too :upset: I'm so not a winter person... have I mentioned that before?

--- Btw, any time someone wants this to end just jump in, ok? ---

So yesterday I finally dug out my desk again! Yay! I knew all along it was under that crap load of papers. Speaking of papers - I gots me a Canadian passport application so I did. I haven't got anywhere to go but it'll be nice to hang one on the wall. Actually, Mr. Wonderful is dreaming of a week in March or so in Cuba. I say dreaming, because getting me to leave home (for a prolonged period of time) is worse than pulling wisdom toofers. I'm purrfectly fine here at home on my stump in the woods.

--- Anybody ready to stuff a sock in me trap yet? --- No? Ok then!

So tomorrow junior and g/f are moving into their new place. They'll be by in the morning to pick up my truck. Actually, there's some stuff in the basement they want so I guess we'll have to load the truck with that before they leave here. Which means, I should get my saddle and whatnot out of the cab, huh? I'm so itching to start putting saddle racks and whatnot up in the tack room - almost, almost! Anyways, back to junior. They'll also have the queen size bed delivered tomorrow (Christmas present). Yikes. That was more $$ than I had wanted to spend but they really need a decent bed. They've been sleeping on a crappy futon until now and they're both on their feet all day at work.

--- Still with me? Man, you got patience! ---

Then next week, I guess I'll make a trip to the big smoke. Try and get some Christmas shopping done, pick up my daughter's Sofa (also Christmas present) from the furniture store and take it to her. Those thieves wanted $80 plus taxes to deliver... like down the road from their warehouse. I think not, thank you very much. Oh, btw... sometimes, even a chump like me gets lucky... we had just talked about and looked at some sofas/futons online when I got a flyer in email from one of the largest furniture places around. 25% off - one day only and only for peeps on their email list. So we ended up with a very nice sofa for $299 plus tax. Not bad.

--- Folks, sooner or later here, I'm gonna have to use the bathroom or summat. Ya don't want me to burst now, do ya? ---

The good news is that both my kids are basically DONE for Christmas presents. They'll all get Christmas jammies (can you believe it, they still ask to make sure they'll get them every year :H) and stocking stuffers and that should be that. I do know what I'm getting Mr. Wonderful - so that's a one-stop thing. Now Peanut is gonna be lots of picking things up, reading labels, squeezing paws and poking bellies and whatnot. I almost had a Christmas spirit attack the other day but I'm all better now. I hate shopping. And shopping malls. And lineups. And lineups in shopping malls. And price checks. In lineups. At shopping malls. Ok, I'm grasping at straws here now.. can you tell?

I sincerely hope that there WILL be a post from one or twenty of you Northerners when I return from braving the elements. Which I will attempt now. Right after I finish this coffee. And get dressed. Must not forget that part. Again.

      Happy Humpday!!!

Hey Sunny-bean. Looks like we left you all alone to guard the thread and brave the cold weather. Saw some recent pictures of your barn. That is one impressive building. You must be so proud of it. It's simply beautiful. I love wood and/or stone buildings - things built from nature.

Good for you on buying those lovely presents for your kids. We've done the same recently and they were so pleased. Gotta help out when needed. If you don't help your kids, who are you going to help?

Sorry you're having such lousy weather but then it is almost December and you do live in Canada. I don't think I could face a Canadian winter after all these years. Mind you I do hope we get a few days of snow this year. I love it and so does Freddie. We go out and walk for miles and miles in it.

Good news on getting that mess with your business straightened up. I detest things like that. Feckers messing up other people's incomes for what purpose - just so they can? Older son had that happen to him last summer. He creates web-sites and someone hacked into his site and messed up his clients' sites. Took him hours and hours to get things straightened out and secure again. Time he could have spent making a new site.

Off to say goodnight to the Army, walk the dogger and then to bed. Take care and talk to you soon.

                Hey Ladies!!

My Brother-in-Law posted this on FB today. It gave me quite the chuckle...

                WINTER Poem

                It's winter time in Canada
                And the gentle breezes blow
                Seventy miles an hour
                At thirty-five below.

                Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
                I could never leave Canada
Cuz I'm frozen to the ground!

It also reminded me of one very cold winter night in Canada - about 11:30 p.m. - must have been around -25F - I heard Mr. Stirly come home - he'd walked the two blocks from our store to our house in the bitter cold. I was in bed and got up to find him with his pants down around his ankles, squatted over the floor grate in the living room, trying desperately to warm his "family jewels". He didn't expect me to be awake and the look on his face was hysterical. Poor guy - when you've lived in Greece til you're 30, it takes many years to get used to Ontario winters.:H

So, how are you girls today??

They have lil pom poms on 'em! I saw them at our local drug store today; 2 bundled up, one red pair and one striped one (think Dr. Seuss) with said lil balls and all wrapped up with a purdy bow. So I grabbed 2 for stocking stuffers for my girls (daughter and son's g/f). On my way to the cashier I thought "Why am I buying those just for others? Heck, I'll get some myself, too!"

However, I cannot be bothered to take a pic right now. You will have to use your imagination! :H How are ya today? Btw, I was in the tub when you called!
