    Hi C&C gang, hope you're enjoying your Friday and have plans to look forward to for the weekend. I am taking it easy tonight, will be up and out early tomorrow morning.

    Today is my day 8, doing good on AL cravings but back to eating everything in sight!

    gg; thanks for telling us more about Trouble, sounds like he's come a long way and worth any "trouble" he was in the past. Hey, that sounds familiar...!

      Evening C & C gang! (like that Today) I think we should be calling you Toady. Watcha think? It was a spanakopita night for me with a few steamed shrimp w/broccoli. Then half a 70% dark choc bar with raspberries and cream. (ate the first half on the drive home, ugh!) Yep, definitely a food whore these days.:H

      GG glad you enjoyed some quality time with the horsies and that Trouble is making gains. Nice to know the lady is smart too and not just a smart ass.:H

      Bouchard, you have a wonderful hangover free weekend too! Try some fenugreek and thyme for your sinuses.

      I heard more white stuff over the weekend. Somebody's not paying attention.

          Well f*ck the weather then. :H Stayed home and catching up on last couple episodes of Heartland. Got into a big cry too. Thinking my drinking thoughts last night have something to do with those feelings though I would never have put that together if I had drank. Thanks for being there GG.:h

          To the rest of you Canuckers--hope you're taking a "me" day too. If not, book one for yourself soon!

            Yep... this is fun. Lost power between midnight last night and 9:50pm tonight, too.



            Northern friggin Ontario. What the HELL was I thinking!??? I didn't even let the horses out today. Really didn't feel like fighting through 3 feet of snow 'leading' them and was somewhat worried about the fences.. kinda looked like they could just step over them and chasing them today would have been NO FUN at all :H

            RC.. glad you made it through :l And a good cry sometimes is just what the doctor ordered.

            Ok folksies.. that's it from me today. Apparently it's snowing AGAIN. But I ain't lookin'. Night night, yaw'll!

              Hola Canuckers! :sun:Nice to see the sun though cold. Lovely pic there GG. Looks like you got dumped on 24 hours after us. The snow bank in my drive went from 3 to 5 ft in 24 hrs.

                Three Contractors

                Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at an Ottawa house: One is from Vancouver, another is from Toronto and the third is from NFLD. All three go with a Government official to examine the fence.

                The Vancouver contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

                The Toronto contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

                The NFLD contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the government official and whispers, "$2,700." The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"

                The NFLD contractor whispers back, "$1,000 for me, $1,000 for you, and we hire the guy from Toronto to fix the fence." And to heck with the guy from B.C. "Done!" replies the government official.

                And that, my friends, is how government contracting works everywhere.

                  Hola Canuckers
                  Have had a very busy weekend. I am not just alcohol free, but drug free as well and i am really noticing an increase in energy. I have been on anti-depressants for a few years and have tapered off to nothing. Just wanted to see what would happen. In the past when I tried this, it was not fun.
                  However this time, muchos better. So I am going to try this for a while longer, it's been about a week without and about 4 weeks since I started to taper down.
                  Wedgie the hunter, killed two mice last night. Left one under my desk for me, and ate the other one. Then barfed up the mouse with some food on my knitting chair.
                  It's so good to be loved!!!
