    The Canucks Co

    Hey Canucklings!!!

Are ya growing webbed feets yet???

Holy moly, was it ever coming down just a few minutes ago. But May showers bring August flowers... or something like that. Wish me luck... I took the plunge and put some seedlings and seeds in the ground already. Hopefully it won't backfire

Lady, I'm also coming to the conclusion that stress, diet, etc.. has a lot to do with how we feel overall. I said, that I was concluding.. not that I was doing something about it :H

Speaking of diet.. I should try to wrap up work and go rattle some pots 'n pans. Happy Thursday night!!!

      Hello, my fellow Canadians
Not much to say, just hello. We had a beautiful sunny day today, and I was inside all day, with no windows....
Hope everyone is having a good night.
Will try to post again tomorrow. (It's not a competency issue, it's all about appropriate time management and prioritizing ya know)

Well, I should hope you get our priorities straight! :H
Nice to see you, Wally. Sunny day, huh?
We had thunder boomers 'n such on again/off again all day. Meh. Probably a good thing, or I wouldn't have got any work done

        TTFN!

It is quiet out there! As for me, well day 1 turned out to be day 0. But I did take the Topa so that's not so bad. Poured as usual, drank that off, poured another but actually forgot to drink that one! Boy, the old Topa works pretty fast - I'd lost interest between the first and the second. So that's a good sign. I think I'll keep at this and hope for the best.

Reasons I want to stop again? First and foremost - as last time - I want to be able to say my night prayers - can't do that with fuzzy brain - I could I guess, but don't feel right about it. Second reason? Well, I just don't like being compulsive about anything - and this is definitely a compulsion!

I'm more relaxed about this whole issue this time. It will come. Just need to plan, take the Topa, eat right, get lots of sun (yeah right, this is Southern Ontario after all, not Arizona!) and sleep well.

We just got back from a wonderful trip to the Holy Land. I got sick but still had a good, holy time and met a great bunch of pilgrims. And I lost weight too! Bonus! As I've been struggling with low thyroid all year I had a hard time losing that last 10 lbs. But this spring finally had a breakthrough. So happy!!!!!

Life is good! So now I can concentrate on "my little problem" and just do it!

I LOVE the holy land. I am so jealous that you where there so recently. I would love to go back. I wanted to emigrate the last time I was there. It is a very special place.

Hi all - good to see so many Holy Landers out there! Wonderful eh? I had a few glasses of wine tonight - feel ok about it - neighbours came and sat on the porch before dinner and we had a gab fest - they had a glass with us, then we came in and had BBQ and a movie - I had two glasses with The Mr. I'll be abstaining all week though with Topamax. I feel good going it this way - relaxing about this whole process. I'm going to make a real effort to get to Mass every day in May - lots to pray for. I'm off to bed. See ya and hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hey Canucks, hope the rain takes a break and lets us have more days like today. It is beautiful in BC! I've got a lot of things going on but dealing with it AF. Food unfortunately has been a comfort and I've gotta get more active. Getting my back fat back!

                    Goodnight everyone

hi, sunday was a beautiful day here in the toronto area as well. had a big family shindig at my place yesterday and no drinky for me.. fresca and tea ... evening went smoothly. no anxiety or guilt after or this morning. I think this is the way it should be. but really! its a first for me having this sober life.

Very Quiet In The Cabbage Patch

                        Hi Ywallll

Just when I was going to sit out with a book and work on my tan the clouds came back - dang! But, it is what it is...spring in So. Ont. I did get out this morning early, for the time it takes to say a Rosary, and it was sunny then so all is not lost...

Feeling very lazy now as I'm back on Topamax and that stuff really does a number on the ole brain. But what the heck, what have I got to do today that can't wait until tomorrow! As long as I've got clean undies in the dresser, and food in the fridge/freezer, we're fine.

Hope all is well out there in the rest of Canaderland, and with the rest of the Canucks spread around the world. See ya soon.

Hi people. I am a newbie on here. Currently abstinent but looking at Naltrexone as a backup plan in case I fall off the wagon which has happened many times before (longest I went was just over a year). I am a binge drinker and as I've got older this has got progressively worse, and got beyond my control quicker. I've been trying to find an online pharmacy that will ship to Canada but with no luck. Does anyone have any they can recommend? My Dr. is sympathetic but has no exposure to Naltrexone so is wary of prescribing it to me. TIA.

Hi Vinlay and welcome to the Canucks and Co. thread--such as it's been lately. Hoping you're still meeting your goals. Ms(now Mrs)Tipplerette may be able to help with on line pharmacy info. Try pm'ing her. Sunshine GG(the thread's founder) may have info too.

MWO Lady--Cabbage Patch makes me think of Cabbagetown where my Nana lived and we visited often in my innocent years. haha Hope your no pressure modding is still going well and Sunday masses are uplifting.

Now Miss GG and Ms Wally--where art thou's?? Perhaps we need a back fat mortorcycle chic possie to come fetch you's?? (holy crap I just goggled this: "fat mortorcycle chic gang". The link titles were so scary-I suggest we don't send one for you's:H)

Ok Canuckers and honourary Canucker (Ms. Stirly) and all Co. volunteers (dat's anyone who's ever posted on this thread) be well and be safe. xo
