THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

UnWasted, thank you so much. You and Jason Vale have changed my life, my health and my everything. On your advice, I ordered the book by doing a google search for Canadian Bookstores so I could get it quick. For some reasons Kobobooks.com was where I was directed and the book was downloaded to my laptop immediately for under $12.00.

I have been struggling for the past 5 years with the reality that alcohol was controlling me. I have joined many "A/F for this month" threads. I am having my last drink tonight (he recommends a ceremonious last drink) and by coincidence all my kids, grandchild, hubby's adult kid and his granddaughter are all going to be here which only happens twice a year usually (Thanksgiving and Christmas). I will have one five ounce glass of wine and joyfully toast my family with the words "To Our Health" and acknowledge this as my last occasion to put poison in my body. I write this with tears of joy running down my face.

I will not count the days. I will come here in a few weeks and post about my freedom. I love you all at MWO and hope Jason's message touches all of you as it has irrevocably touched me. And a special thanks to you Unwasted. You can go to sleep tonight knowing that you were instrumental in touching another's life in a sensational way.

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

kobobooks.com - that's where I ordered it for $12.00 and it was downloaded to my laptop immediately upon completion of the order.

Last night after reading the first few chapters of the book I sat by the fire pit with a glass of wine as Jason said to keep drinking while reading the book) While entertaining company, sipping a few glasses, I actually monitored the way it tasted, the way I felt, the dehydration, the urge to nod off, etc. It tasted bitter and vingegary (my favourite wine), I was feeling numb and a little dizzy (so enjoyable), and was dry mouthed all evening. I had to be prodded awake a few times before the company took the hint and left. And that was just a few glasses of wine.

Today, by coincidence, my whole family will be here. It never happens except Christmas. I made a beautiful meal and, as Jason Vale suggests, I will have my last, ceremonial drink and toast to my family's health and my eternal gratitude to this revelation.. I will never put poison in my life again. I will shut down my ego's whining and urging and will lose nothing and gain, freedom, health and happiness.

UnWasted, tonight when you go to sleep in whatever part of the world you live in, please remember there is little, Canadian woman toasting you and that you have touched a stranger's life in a wonderful, life-changing way.

      Thanks

Tips: PS, I will not count days but will drop in to report on my freedom in a few weeks. xoxoxo

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

M-3 - Really, this book was like divine providence for me. That's why I've come on the site and posted it all over the place. And, after reading Tipp's response, I'm so glad I did.

Tipplerette, you have touched my heart. I was so hoping that others would read it and that it would impact them as profoundly as it has me.

Here's to your health and future well being. I think we are both free.:l

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

I think we are too. Tonight at dinner I planned on having my last ceremonial drink. And I always crave wine way before dinner begins. Honest to God, it held NO interest for me. I did not even put a 'replacement' drink in front of me. And to top it off no one noticed that I wasn't drinking...

Thanks again, UnWasted. Here's to your Health, Future Well Being and to your Sharing Nature. Thanks again!!

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

This morning when I woke up, I had two constant thoughts popping up in my mind and one was "I will never drink again." and the other was "alcohol is poison". I think I've been brainwashed. Seriously. I think Jason Vale uses psychological brainwashing to get his point across. In my whole life all I wanted to do was to moderate or control my drinking; but the appeal of drinking has completely left me. Now there's material for a law suit... or a BIG THANKS.. I think I know which. Remember, what he says at the end of the book? If you have that just one drink, do not read the book again as it will not achieve the same results the second time you read it. The order of what's written and the way it's written is meant for one use and one use only. Hmmmm... interesting.

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Tips, I didn't feel brainwashed - just that I'd been given a proper context with which to view alcohol. He does say at the end of the book that if you drink again thinking you can easily quit by just re-reading the book is a very iffy and risky thing to do. That is, if you go back to the book after drinking again it won't be nearly as effective. I think that's very true and a good warning. I hear lots of people say that when they quit and then start again, the addiction is worse and it's harder to quit the subsequent time. Anyway, it sounds like overall it's working for you. I feel resolute and totally free and forever greatful for this book. Hope it's a positive force for others too.

                Ordered it!

Thanks for the tip, Unwasted. I just ordered the book and I truly need it. Today is Day one for me. I had two ceremonial drinks last night, not much for me. I'm done now. Anything anyone can recommend to keep me motivated is much appreciated!

Golfdiva, all I can say is that this book did it for me. I have had no cravings mental or physical since I read it. I feel truly liberated and hope it does the same for you.

Sending you peace and strength (and quick reading skills LOL).

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

I am just so amazed at my complete change in attitude in alcohol... and it was flying around here today. Made a pitcher of sangria for my friends and didn't even feel like any. Anyways like you say, whatever it is, it's working.

So glad you're doing well Tips - same for me..........

I had dinner out and that would typically be the very hardest time for me to resist alcohol. I didn't have one iota of craving or temptation. I was happy during the dinner. The few times I ever tried that before, I was miserable. I even started crying one night when my husband and I were having a very nice dinner and I had decided not to drink. This was TOTALLY different. Felt confident, proud, relaxed, happy..............

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

I downloaded this book to my Kindle several days ago after reading Unwasted's first post about it. I strongly third Unwasted and Tipplerette's recommendations. His writing style is clunky, he gets kind of juvenile in his attitude and typefaces, but he is RIGHT. We are brainwashed by how society views alcohol and we have to be unbrainwashed. We don't have to feel miserable, unlucky,. deprived, or guilty about not drinking. We should celebrate, with a tonic and orange juice!

Seriously, get the book and quit counting your days.

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

                            Tonstant,

I'm glad to hear you thought the book was effective. I've been vascilating between moderating and trying to stop drinking alcohol for a year. This book is the only thing that has pushed me over the hump and given me the tools to change my mental outlook in a profound way. For the first time I feel joyful in my sobriety. The struggle is completely gone.

I'm hoping the copy I ordered arrives today. It sounds like it will reinforce and support the changes that have already started for me in the way I think about alcohol. Every little bit helps. I made it through the weekend without a drop, and I'm looking forward to getting home from work tonight and curling up with the book and a cup of tea. Thanks for passing on the recommendation.

THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

I am ordering this book today. I quit Al for 5 1/2 months (never felt better) using Alan Carr's book - AL is poison, monster inside, no benefits to drinking, etc. But for some reason it doesn't work the second time. Maybe this one will...
